The best broccoli casserole I've ever eated involves broccoli, sauteed onion, cheddar cheese, cream soup, and possibly a few more bits and pieces. Not all that different than dirty mac, but still completely different. And no noodles.

This is So good! Thank you very much! I tweaked it a little bit just for my taste and it worked out really well. I added a head of cauliflower to it and then crushed a roll of Ritz Crackers and spread that over the top. Loved the little crunch it added. Might be a little dry for some folks that like it saucy, but it was perfect for my taste. 👍

Calling this a "broccoli recipe" is like calling lasagna a "tomato recipe". This has very little to do with broccoli.

I boil my broccoli and if serving with a rice dish, keep the water and use it to boil the rice in. Don’t miss out on the vitamins !
