Here is a similar practice that used to exist on RailRoad Passenger Trains in Years past. The toilets in RailRoad passenger trains used to flush out on to the railroad tracks. I remember this from the early 1960s when my family traveled by passenger train. Today there are holding tanks on railroad passenger train toilets.
