Mutianyu is definitely a smarter choice than Badaling. Less crowded, more kitties, same beautifuly views. I've visited Mutianyu for several times, and I used to stay overnight in the Mutianyu hotel next to the entrance of the scenic area. The admission of the Great Wall is included in the room rate, and the local cuisines that hotel provides where pretty authenic and delicious. Besides, there are quite a few scenic ares nearby (within 30 min driving), including Hongluo Buddhist temple, Shentangyu trails, Yanqi Lake, etc., which deserves a two-day tour. They are not as famous as the Great Wall but quite popular locally.

You can try online shopping in China, it will be a great experience

Superb video, wow, thanks for showing me Mutianyu great wall. I have never gone to that part of great wall because I went 10 times to the Badaling great wall section when I was a kid living in Beijing 40 years ago (Mutianyu was not even open to visitors back then).
