SalamuAlaikum Kajte,

Alif has two roles, one as a consonant which is pronounced in words such as Asad أسد Lion (Initial position)  فأر mouse (Medial position) and  نبأ news ( Final position). The other role is a long vowel which occurs after a letter to extend its pronunciation as in باب door- بوم owl - تين fig. You can remark that all the long vowels don't have any case marking, especially Alif, it does not occur with a hamza.

Hi, i'm confused with the vowel😅. Sorry. Like in the word Taalib, after alif, it's laam right, so how you will know which vowel to right after laam? Can it be like any vowel? Like Taaleb, Taalab, Taalob, Taalub.

Samel like in Arabiya, why it's Ain not alif for the first letter? And the 'baa' it became bi, in Arabiya. And the ya, you said it's in middle form, but when you wrote it it's like initial form only

Or 'i' is just connecting sound?
