ОтветитьWhy not clean the Phillips cross indention, and back the screw out to lessen the chance of breaking off a piece inside the hoof? Probing with fine metal rod will tell you the depth and maybe presence of metal. I do this to keep metal fragments in wood from ruining planer blades. Blades are expensive, and I even use a metal detector to detect broken nail and screw parts. I suspect cows aren't cheap either.
