Mark Knopfler, Mark King, Gary Moore, and the Man with Glasses are all Left Handed!!! 4 Lefties, 2 righties.
ОтветитьIf I recall rightly this was the Kenny Everett Show
ОтветитьThis wut makés Britâin So Grêát
ОтветитьLove this sketch. Where did wonderful Roland Rivron go , never see him these days. He was cool
ОтветитьThat was great! It's true about those guitar books lol
ОтветитьHaha "nah, we'd never get the witnesses would we?"
ОтветитьLove how David adds that extra little riff with a smile!
Ответитьnever ever tire of this sketch, just magic.
Ответить….and now with the book
Ответитьsaw this just five or so years ago and it still is so awesome. masterpiece.
ОтветитьWhen they all assemble at one place what do they play?...........Johnny B. Goode, so good.
ОтветитьMK 💓 inimitável 🇧🇷
ОтветитьTop sketch.👍👌👏
ОтветитьMy god!
I absolutely laughed my head off!!
Legends, just legends displayed here….
the more observant (or nerd?) will have noticed that Mark Knopler plays David Gilmour's Red Stratocaster in the video. Gilmour instead plays a custom color Clapton Stratocaster. both guitars were sold in 2019 at Christie's auction...
ОтветитьThis is so hilarious! :)
ОтветитьI OBJECT my lady! They forgot the small circles above the A-string and high E-string and a small x above the low E-string telling you to play the A and high E-strings open, without placing any fingers on the fretboard, as well as the low E-string should not be played at all!
I contend this is exhibit is both inaccurate as well as misleading to the Judge (and/or Jury) who may not know exactly how this diagram informs a Guitar player what to play!
This is brilliant.
As an admirer of Ralph, at first I did not know whether to be annoyed or pleased by this send up.
I quickly came to the conclusion that this was more of a send up of the belief that music in itself, especially classical music, is often very formulaic in its structure and that the musicians in the sketch rely on instinct, improvisation and natural ability, more than playing by formula.
And this, of course, is where the sketch effectively pays homage to Ralph, who is himself a master of instinct, improvisation and natural ability.....and of course, who, as an itinerant busking musician, recognised that money was to be made by writing a book "simplifying" things for the less talented, by providing a structured formulaic plan for such lesser mortals.
I would also question the significant absence of Angus, who, with his schoolboy approach to all things music, would have made him a reliable witness.
Hilarious, totally brilliant love this!
ОтветитьI wonder whether it was also deliberate that the father was playing the guitar left handed.....
ОтветитьCouldn’t of thought David Gilmore and lemmy stood next to each other
ОтветитьBonus Kirsty MacColl at the back there
ОтветитьGary Moore ❤❤❤
ОтветитьThere are so many little things that go unnoticed when you first watch this..like the clerk of the court typing out the intro to ace of spades.... Lemmy
" I'm a professional".. always gets me
I love Lemmy "I can't play it without the dots, I'm a professional!" 😂
ОтветитьI still have this on VHS! 😂 Funniest music sketch ever
ОтветитьNow THAT'S a jam session...
ОтветитьExhibit A had to be an A chord 😆 Gotta love those dots!
Ответитьlove it!
ОтветитьSo much talent! Lemmy and Gary we miss you guys! Dawn and Jennifer rule. Two of the funniest women ever. Check out their other work its worth it!!!
ОтветитьGIVE ME MY DOTS
ОтветитьAbsolutely brilliant. RIP Mark and David's hair. RIP Lemmy and Gary.
ОтветитьBrillant and hilarious,
Rock in Peace Lemmy and Garry Moore
Omg, this made my day, thank you so much
ОтветитьI started playing the guitar 34yrs ago I gave up playing the guitar 31yrs and 10 months ago. If only i had of seen this i would have known about the dots.
ОтветитьGreat idea but this is the usual unfunny French and Saunders sketch, made worse by an overenthusiastic audience. The BBC rarely gets anything right. 186k views and 2k likes says it all.
ОтветитьAt its best
ОтветитьShow name?
ОтветитьIt's nice to make the wise dice. 😊😂
ОтветитьYou had me at 'Lemmy".
ОтветитьMore of these sketches please.
ОтветитьGilmour absolutely murders them
ОтветитьI remember taping this on VHS and watched it sooooo many times! How on earth did they manage to assemble all of those legends in one place?! Great guitarists, good sports for doing it, fantastic show all round!
ОтветитьSuperb
Honours To All .
“A man who had the misfortune to write this number…mr mark kinopfilar”😂😂
ОтветитьWho’s the guy with the Malibu bottle in white ?
ОтветитьThis is one of my favourite sketches ever even though I wasn't a fan of F&S
Ответитьwhat's w all the bass players?!
