I purchased a new Airstream Rangeliner. It appears that the window in the sliding door was not installed properly. Neither Airstream or Ram consider it their problem to fix. Also, I have discovered that the generator is leaking gas. Apparently that will be up to Cummings to fix. All of this is very disapointing.
ОтветитьThey are so cute though! We are in the midst of remodeling one right now.
ОтветитьI bought mine from a part time airstream couple
Ответитьthat top button
ОтветитьWhiny prissy spoiled brats. Don’t breed
Ответитьlol its funny how people dont think about how every camp has ever been. the dinette converts into a bed, standard in every camper. small showers, and no separate bedrooms and living rooms. you dont buy a camper to live inside or to have 2000 square feet of living space like a house lol if you want living space, buy a house
ОтветитьI think it would be too narrow for me.
ОтветитьLess is more. Addition through subtraction.
ОтветитьWhat do you recommend then?
ОтветитьComplain, complain, complain. Sounds to me like you didn’t do your homework in getting a RV “tailored” to your specifications!
ОтветитьWe owned a 30 Classic for 6 years and had some issues. The ZipDee “Relax” automatic awning never worked reliably. It got to the point where we just never used the awning and it rode around as dead weight. The electrical wiring was an absolute rats nest. A quick look under the couch or fridge would make a a Bishop kick in a stained glass window. The dealer service network is absolutely awful, and now that Airstream has chosen to dance with the devil and allow Camping World to be dealers, it has become so much worse. Over all, we elected not to purchase another one.
ОтветитьYou are a very cute couple. Happiness and joy!
ОтветитьWho thinks an RV should have a kitchen island…. I can’t take you seriously beyond this comment.
ОтветитьThis couple is schizo
Ответитьit would take pop outs to fix this. you knew it didnt have those when u bought it so....
ОтветитьHad many travel trailers. None have lasted like my silver bullet.
ОтветитьAck the voice. I’m out.
ОтветитьBack in 2015 I began researching RVs. I thought it would be a good option for my constant military transfers. I knew some people at the base who lived full-time in their 5th wheel. I thought I could downsize (1500 sq ft apartment) and make the 27' Airstream work. I drove up to the dealership, and was shown the requested unit. I walked in the door and.... WOW! I had no idea it would be so small. Reality. The Airstream was not small. It was what it is was. What had changed was my imagination of the inside. I hit the pause button. Good thing because I was transferred overseas. I returned in the summer of 2021. I noticed that many of the RV YT blogs had disappeared. I'm still on pause. I'm going to wait until a post-military life.
ОтветитьI've owned 8 RVs. Everything from a pop-up to a $1 million class C. But the Airstream is the best built of all. And everyone leaked at one time or the another. I have had zero leak issues on the Airstream. And your incorrect. You can get an automatic leveling on a Airstream. I have one on my cloud.
ОтветитьTo listen to the two of you people, Can I suggest any of the other trailers out there that "have more room" and come with a tidal wave of issues starting with the plastic roofs and leaks and wood rot all over and go from there. "careful what you wish for" one other thing to note most other trailers cant stand the test of time, as does.
ОтветитьGreat video, good points on both the negatives and positives 👏
ОтветитьGreat video! Quality is my number 1 issue Other brands are so poorly made and declining
I'm terms of tech and space Your are living a minimalist life focusing on the outside
I'm a huge fan
Simple quality
Thank you for your video
These "why not" videos are so contrary and dumb. 🙄
ОтветитьThey look like very good quality. Expensive but they look well made. I dont know if i would ever go cheap on a rv again. These airstreams look like they would last for a lifetime if you took care of it.
ОтветитьAirstream is a top choice. However, if cold climate is in your travel plans, then Oliver is the better choice.
If money is not a problem, then Earth Roamer is the ultimate choice.
Personally, I live full-time in my 2018 850 Lance truck camper and love it.
Airstream is a. Investment that will appreciation as time goes on they outlived. Any other RV
ОтветитьMaybe you should trade up for a rear bath and twin beds? I’m 6 foot and never feel cramped in the bathroom and my twin beds give you 2 extra couches and 2 more large outdoor storage compartments.
ОтветитьWould have been nice to know the model and size of the airstream? Maybe I missed that part. Will watch again to see.
ОтветитьYou too have pretty lame reasons for not liking your Airstream, you don't appreciate the quality of the construction, and the man hours that goes into building one. Go buy something with all the bells and whistles that is cheaply built, and you are having little things go wrong all the time, then you would wish you were back in your Airstream.
ОтветитьIts obvious from this vlog that you don't know everything there is to know about airstreams. We have a model that has the touch screen to control everything. You are dissing AS based on your model alone. You need to learn more about airstreams before being so critical. The AS will maintain its value more than almost any other rv out there. Not sure if you are still in it, but I'd recommend selling yours and buying something you might like better.
To me you come across as privileged young kids.
No rv is manufactured to be lived in full time!
ОтветитьI can give you 40k reasons not to buy an airstream you can't fully restore in 16 months. What ever you do not take it apart
ОтветитьMy family and I went to an rv show. The only rvs that didnt shake like a minor earthquake were the airstreams and the $700k bus rv.
Ответитьhuge, huge fan of airstreams... we are full timing in a 5th wheel, i love the amt of space but indeed am afraid of the extras that can and will need replacing, fixing, etc.... specially the slides...
excellent video, making people aware.
Towing is second to none.
ОтветитьDevin is a boy's name normally?
ОтветитьIt must stink to live with another human in an RV. I plan to have 2 dogs and myself in an Airstream in retirement. More than enough room.
ОтветитьSeems like these issues aren't exactly airstream specific.
ОтветитьWe moved from 33’ toy hauler pulled by an F350 to a 23’ Airstream International 23FBT pulled by an F150. Traveling with a very capable smaller rig is a joy. Sometimes less is more.
ОтветитьAny one spent tat much money on a trailer is ultimate stupid.
ОтветитьGreat camera angles, good editing, fine sound for the most part and the comment relating to the potential of getting scratches and dents in the shell is a frightening prospect that no one else has mentioned. This is almost like taking a fine and fragile family heirloom out on the roads on regular occasions.
Were I fortunate enough to ever own one I would relegate it to the confines of a carefully cosseted existence in a glass showcase.
I kneel in my shower lol it’s not an Airstream I’m 6’3🤷🏻♂️
ОтветитьDid you not look at the different models? All your complaints here are solved if you go with a Classic or different model. Not quite sure what you're trying to prove here other than that you didn't do your research prior to buying.
ОтветитьWindow reveal 💯
ОтветитьYep, our rear table disappeared and a 30 ft FC replaced it. However this is our 3rd Airstream and we spend more time at Jackson Center fixing items under warranty that should never have come off the line with quality control. We keep it but it is a love hate trailer.
ОтветитьNo trailer is perfect, but when you go to sell your airstream you will find out how good they are. I can sell mine for what I paid for it.
ОтветитьAirstream and Oliver seem to be about the best fit, finish and overall quality. If you can get a lot of bells and whistles for a lot less money, get ready for the water leaks or the slide outs not working right. Airstream and Oliver although expensive to get into hold there value really well. I saw an Airstream for sale for about $30K from the 1950's! Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьAirstreams are great. I’ve owned one for 7 years and it’s the best I’ve had of 5 total RVs. Yeah they’re expensive but the structure is worth it
ОтветитьIf Airstream would just make it 2 inches taller and figure out a little more outdoor storage, it would take it to the next level.
Ответить
