Ok I'm trying to understand all of Abed's references. I get Sam Malone from Cheers because he was a suave ladies man. From what I gather from a couple eps of Scrubs Zach Braff is zany (but lovable) so not really what Jeff is going for, hence his offense. And I know the Dick van Dyke and Hilary Swank characters, but I don't get why Abed thinks Jeff is like them?

I love how Jeff can live with being compared to Hilary Swank, but being compared to Zach Braff is deeply insulting to him, lol. He probably sees himself more as John C McGinley in Scrubs.

Love how they were all concerned for Abed because well, he's Abed, but they quickly learn that Abed is doing just fine.

There's a quick callback on season 3, when they are meeting with that fake psychiatrist, at one point Jeff says "Abed, show him your Don Drapper" and abed says "Cigarettes 😏", and Annie instantly blushes 🤣

People ship jeff and annie. Me? I ship Abed and Annie. Is it the wrong choice? Maybe, but i don't care.

I've seen this so many times and it's just occurred to me... why is Abed carrying a full cigarette case? haha!

In a later episode (the one when they are all in the therapists office), they mention Abed's characters and say Don Draper and you can see Annie in background swoon - cracked me up being reminded of this scene 😂
