They should have a sign up to commemorate were ozzy pissed on it .
ОтветитьTexas destroyed the Fort around the Alamo so they could make money.
Ответитьwhy they say remember the alamo if the texans lost the battle>? just ciriuos no ofens
ОтветитьThe Crokett rifle may not be for real it's a percussion, and according to reputable sources he had a flintlock, not percussion. Percussion caps were hard to get, flint easy.
ОтветитьWhere's the basement
ОтветитьIts so sad that progress( i.e money always wins) and building over a war cemetry /memorial was allowed! Is nothing sacrosanct? The building of shops and other buildings in the grounds of a war memorial shows a total lack of regard , and taste, for those that died there! That earlier scene whereby a guy on an electric scooter whizzes by, in / across the Alamo grounds, sums it all up!
Ответитьmy ancestor captain almaron dickenson commanded the artillery in the alamo, his wife and baby were in there during the battle and survived, sucks to see all the modern crap built in the facinity, its a disgrace
Ответитьit's sad that they have built modern structures around all that, it's defiling
ОтветитьMonument to a bunch of bloodthirsty illegal immigrant Americans invade and try and take land belonging to another country and get their assess kicked. Wow, you really want to idolise that.
ОтветитьWhere's the basement?
ОтветитьI haven’t been to the Alamo in years. My aunt would take my sisters and I to Texas every single summer for a week to visit my great uncle and we also have a friend that was stationed somewhere in Texas as well so as we were visiting we went to the Alamo and OMG! I miss it. San Antonio is beautiful.. The River Walk is also awesome too. It reminds me of Italy (I’ve only seen pictures of Italy lol)
ОтветитьThis is on my bucket list
ОтветитьDid you visit the basement?
ОтветитьThe story of the Alamo and the Texas revolution is one of the most hypocritical and pathetic examples of racist gaslighting in North America. The socalled Texas patriots were nothing but grifters and traitors to the Mexican government that they conned. The only thing the Texas fought for was their right to have slaves and steal land from fellow citizens of Mexico. There's nothing honorable about Texas history, it's antebellum southern propaganda. In fact, the current racist replacement theory and immigration mentality is simple guilt transference. General Santa Ana handled the traitors like traitors should be handled, he shot em. Years later, Texas became traitorous again during the American civil war. And has continued to degrad and insult the message of liberty and equality by it's continued white Christian nationalist culture. Texans feed off a twisted lie of racist white con artist and continue to perpetuate falsehoods to this day. There's nothing honorable about Texas history.
Ответитьright there on the left side of the door john wayne took a bayonet to the chest and set off the powda magazine by throwing his torch. history is amazing. sad to see an alamo defender not even mentioned 😂
ОтветитьThey forgot to mention that Santa Anna's entire army was in rags from marching from Mexico city took them almost a year to get there and the entire army only had one hundred rifles it was a dirt poor army that why they took them on plus Santa Anna executed the prisoners they took because Santa Anna sent two unarmed soldiers with a white flag of truce to talk to them and Travis had them killed with a cannon fire actullay murdered them that why Santa Anna got furious and gave the order no quarters given to Alamo defenders kill them all they don't mention that in the history books I did some intensive research because we made a movie and I played the part of Santa Anna and I'm not Mexican the horrible truths of history is always hidden makes us look bad plus this was Mexico if someone would attack this precious country would we call them hero's I was shocked when I learned this they didn't teach me that in school plus Travis and Jim Bowie were wanted in the U S A Bowie because he had uncontrollable anger even got into a fight with the president of the United States and his wife left him that's why he went to Texas and some of this men that fought in the Alamo were outlaws wanted men Jim Bowie beat the hell out of a newspaper man for saying bad things about him sent him to the doctors badly beaten and they mistreated thier slaves which Mexico disapproved Mexico told them to free the slaves and the Alamo defenders rebelled against Mexico and Mexico wanted to run them off thier country and Mexico had every right to do it because this was thier land and had to abide by thier laws they were a rebelious group of men that wanted their own way I hope I didn't ruffle any feathers for telling the truth most people don't know the actual facts
ОтветитьCrockett's rifle was PERCUSSION? I'm thinking they hadn't even invented percussion rifles at that time...🤔 Am I wrong?
ОтветитьYes it is sad, no honor!
ОтветитьWhy,why, why were those...persons allowed to destroy this awesome place? They'd get on well with the family who destroyed so much of the little town I now live near.Vandals!
ОтветитьToured it last year !! Loved the tour !! Especially the huge oak tree
ОтветитьIt's at the alamo,
in the basement !
What about Bonham??
MOLON LABE !
Iam in uk always like watching the film the one thing that surprised me that texes actually stayed independent for 9 years after independence from Mexico I can see it wanting to become independent again with some of things that are happening in America
ОтветитьThe whole battlefield is hollow ground!!!! A lot of soldiers died on both sides on that battlefield.😢 Going to the Alamo is not the same as going to Gettysburg or any of the Civil War battlefields. There is no emotional connection at all.
ОтветитьTexas. You yell remember the Alamo. After what you did we're pretty much going to have to we have to remember because after you were done with it they ain't nothing left. So remembering it is the only thing we can do. William s
ОтветитьWow Texas. Way to take pride. In your most valuable landmark. Tear it down. And build a bunch of useless buildings. Way to show your pride. Texas. William s
ОтветитьBeen there with my Dad stayed at the Menger hotel cool place to visit and town lots of things to do
ОтветитьAfter the battle, How long afterward did Houston visited the Alamo? And how often did he visited the site.
ОтветитьI have been visiting the Alamo my entire life, starting in primary school to just two years ago. In all of those visits, not one person mentioned the outlines of the original structures painted on the ground. Thank you so much for this video tour of the Alamo. God bless Texas!!! Remember the Alamo!
Ответитьdid you go to the basement??
ОтветитьI am a relative of Davy Crockett on my mom's side he is my Great Great Grandmothers great uncle
ОтветитьThe State of Texas, purchased the Alamo Church building from the Roman Catholic Church in 1883, but the Long Barracks building was privately owned. Clara Driscoll gave her own funds to purchase the lot and structure, but agreed to the demolition of the remaining walls, to be replaced by a park next to the Church.
We have the Long Barracks today thanks to Adina de Zavala, grand daughter of Lorenzo de Zavala, the first Vice President of the Republic of Texas. On February 10, 1908, to prevent demolition, she locked herself in the Long Barracks and refused to leave without some guaranty of preservation. Three days later an agreement was make to temporarily turn the structure over to the governor of the state.
In 1911, Texas Governor Oscar B. Colquitt ordered what remained of the long barracks restored to its original condition. However, while Colquitt was out of state, Lt Governor William H. Mayes permitted the removal of the second story of the building. What we see today is the result of Ms. de Zavala's efforts.
they all died fighting for the right to own people " you know slaves " as property.... they're not hero's its a crock of crap..
ОтветитьThe reasons for the battle and everything else about this including the movie with John Wayne is fiction.
ОтветитьTrue lies
ОтветитьI was stationed there once in the US Army for some training @ Brook AMC, Tx. I returned in the mid ‘70s for an anesthesia residency. Relatives would all go visit , The Alamo, my wife and children toured the Alamo. I put it off to catch it later on, but it never happened. If I ever get back there, I will visit with this tour guide as a help. Thank you for this tour. 👍
ОтветитьThey excluded the monument on the right corner coming out of Alamo, where they piled Crockett and the others up and burned them alive. Unless they cover up the facts or destroyed the monument after 1970.
ОтветитьAll for nothing
Ответитьmy school recently went here and we saw alot of this it felt amazing and there was gunpowder gunshots with it!
ОтветитьI finally got to visit the Alamo a couple years ago. I was a Davy Crockett fan my whole life. Just standing in front of the Alamo filled me awe and new respect for the defenders. I have a different perspective than most visitors because I'm a proud relative of Davy Crockett.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing. My distant grandfather!
ОтветитьStupid if y’all think Sam Houston and his ppl beat the Mexican army that beat the Alamo 🤦🏽♂️ 😅
ОтветитьI visited the Alamo back in 1968 while stationed in the military. I was fascinated and very impressed. May God bless all those heros at the Alamo. As a kid I loved the stories and movies about the Alamo and my visit was a check off my bucket list also.
ОтветитьThere were a number of British fighting alongside the defenders☝️
ОтветитьI wanna see the basement
ОтветитьNot bad, thank you for using his actual name, which he preferred; David Crockett!
ОтветитьI seen the Alamo the one thing I really wanna see now is another violent one…
Ответитьthe very definition of a Pyrric victory.
ОтветитьStill battling Mexicans today.
ОтветитьSo much stolen lands .
ОтветитьSo the Mexican army were the first illegals to cross the border.
