I’m thinking of upgrading from a 13 inch M2 Air to a 15 inch M4 air. Total cost after a trade in for the M4 air is less than $800 at Best Buy. Bought the M2 when it first came out for $900 so getting the newest air for less than what I paid out of pocket for the M2 seems nice, but I don’t know. I don’t really NEED to upgrade

bought my m3 day before :(

This laptop in 2025 still only has 2 usb c!! And it still has a minimum memory of 512 GB instead of 1tb! And still has a 60hz screen!! Don't let this GREEDY company make money off of you. If you are demanding, they will have to make concessions, since THEY EXIST BECAUSE OF OUR MONEY!! Don't buy their product!! For that kind of money there are laptops on the market with much better characteristics!!

Should i buy 13 with 512 storage or 15 with 256 storage? I previously always used 15 or 16 inch windows laptop. But i m skeptical about 256gb although i ll only use it for surfing, media consumption and office works.

i don't know where you're seeing a 32Gb/2Tb version. All i see on apples site is tops 32Gb/512Gb

I bought air M3 with 24ram 512 storage and was delivered 2 days ago, haven't unpacked yet. Should I return it and get the new M4 with 24+512? Its even 100 AUD cheaper than the M3 model in Australia.

I'm disappointed that the battery life of the M4 MacBook Air doesn't appear to have increased to 19 or 20 hours as was hyped to be the case over the past few months or so. Why is this? If so, what would make the M4 MacBook Air stand out relative to all non-Apple computers(cough......cough.......Snapdragon Elite)? Is the M4 MacBook Air more power efficient that all non-Apple computers(cough.......cough......Snapdragon Elite)? If so, that's very, very, very good. $1099 from the education store for the m4 13in 16gigs of ram and 512gig storage is such a good deal. I don’t like how they gouge for upgrades, but even at $1299 to upgrade to a terabyte of storage is a good deal. I’m thinking I might pick one up.

Today I would purchase a M4 Apple MacBook Air 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine 24GB unified memory, 1TB SSD storage, 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display with True Tone $1,799.00 US. Thing is for the same price of $1,799.00 US on 11/25/2024 I was able to get the M4 Apple MacBook Pro - Space Black 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine 24GB unified memory 1TB SSD storage. So everything I think worked out for me.

Thing is I almost never use it in laptop mode. Most of the time it's in clamshell mode, connected to my external LG 5K 27-inch black external display mounted to a black VESA desk mount arm that I have had for some time now. I just change the Mac it is attached to in my home office.

Would the base m4 15” 256gb be okay to keep for a while. Don’t really use huge apps only one or two. Any suggestions?
