LYRICS (YEAR 1990):
Anything is possible
Anything is possible
Anything is possible
Anything...
Is Possible
Thought I couldn't slow him down
Long enough to look my way
Thought he was out of my league
Wouldn't give me time of day
Thought he was like all the rest
Love her, leave her, no remorse
But I guess that I misjudged
And this thing just ran its course
He taught me -
Anything is possible
Anything is possible.....if you put your mind to it
Anything is possible
Anything is possible
Break it down now.......
Much to my surprise I felt
A warm, not cold vibe
When he looked in my eyes
His bad boy front not charm
Was his disguise
(Let me tell ya)
He read so much into me
Listened so attentively
He liked me, I rest my case
Wasn't just a pretty face
Bridge:
If you set your mind
You can do anything you want
Not every guy is a bad guy
Don't stereotype
'Cause this guy, he proved me wrong
He taught me:
Anything is possible
Anything is possible
B4 Brit there was DeBBie❕❣️❕

Ответитьles cuento que hoy cayo en mis manos en lp vinilo de este tema version; radio edit of dance mix, dance mix, dub, instrumental.

I think Debbie is very talented, but I wasn't super crazy about this album in particular. It sounded very dated, production-wise and stylistically. This came out at the end of 1990 and it sounded like it could've easily been released 5 years earlier. Keep in mind, this was at a time when music going into the 90s was evolving dramatically.
ОтветитьThe guitar intro still gives me goosebumps till today, what a great decade the 90s was..
ОтветитьIf she had a great music company, she could be as big as Mariah Carey.
ОтветитьIt's a good song, but very repetitive and the video has a vibe that bring you down a little. Just a few touches and this would be a banger.
ОтветитьDebbie essa e a minha música favorita, muita dança e tudo muito animado, beijo 💋 do Brasil 🇧🇷
ОтветитьHello from Russia. Some European snobs underestimated America's culture. They are wrong. Where else can you find such energy. And so many beautiful ladies who can sing.
ОтветитьShe sounds like Madonna in this video.
ОтветитьWHAT AN AMAZING SONG!!! Debbie voice, male backing vocals, lyrics, instruments, tune and music video, it is a true masterpiece, I didn't know this song of Debbie, I just loved it at first hearing. I bet this awesome song was recorded between '87 and '89, the bass didn't sound to a 1990 song, but late 80's. Transition from 80's to 90's is the 2nd best musical transition in my opinion (the first place goes for 70's to 80's). P.D.: Debbie Gibson deserves much much more recognition!! EDIT: I didn't know about Lamont Dozier (backing vocals here), excellent job, RIP and an ovation to his memory.
ОтветитьWhat if nothing is possible🤔
ОтветитьI love 💕 you too Debbie wanna go out your not that old I'm 40 almost
ОтветитьAnother Gibson master piece!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Ответить51 in the UK. I was 14 at the time and very into music. Don't recall hearing it so presume it didn't get promoted properly
ОтветитьThis was such a mature and gorgeous new look for Debbie. Just stunning.
ОтветитьI always liked Debbie Gibson. This was another song that I enjoyed. This was back when I was 20 going on 21. Times were simpler and more care free. I need a Time Machine.🫶🏾😉
ОтветитьLove ❤️❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьThe more I listen to this song, the more I like it.... I agree it should've been more popular
ОтветитьThe memories of my high school years
ОтветитьI love this song and, one of my favorites. It's so positive, upbeat and, encouraging. "Not every guy is a bad guy, not stereotype". Is best line

ОтветитьAwesome song with a great message.
ОтветитьSo lackluster, It sounds more like something Cathy Denis might have recorded, This isnt Debbie, her music was all about melody and chord changes and soaring vocals, I can see why this was her death knell on the charts. When you change the formula that made you successful you lose your audience, It happened to Tifanny too and in the same year.
ОтветитьI did a gymnastics floor routine to this song at the age of 11. LOL
ОтветитьWhen you have Lamont Dozier and Carlos Alomar working with you, then you know you're doing something right.
ОтветитьHey, wait a minute. This could've worked during the time. See, this is what happens when the music industry gets tired of you. They quit programming the music and the general audience moves on. The late '80s bubblegum pop craze phased out so what they did was give bubblegum pop artists a more edgy image so that they could have an excuse as to why it ain't workin' no more. They did the same thing to New Kids on the Block a few years after this. Anyway, 1990 was Mariah Carey's time...
ОтветитьOne of my fave Debbie Gibson tracks.....co-written, and produced by the late, great Lamont Dozier...R.I.P. Lamont
ОтветитьRIP Lamont Dozier
ОтветитьFrom 87 to 90 there was a big change in pop música and we can see this in debbie. Woa
ОтветитьR.I.P. to legendary songwriter Lamont Dozier (of Motown's Holland-Dozier-Holland fame). Lamont co-wrote the song with Debbie and was also in the video. Lamont passed away today (8/9/22) at the age of 81.
ОтветитьRIP Lamont Dozier
ОтветитьMaya Hawk looks like Debbie G
ОтветитьBritney spears really look like her
ОтветитьShe’s Hot in this video and She was very underrated for her vocals!!
ОтветитьLove it
ОтветитьLos mejores años de mi vida los 80'S..sigue siendo bella y talentosa hasta hoy...Dios te bendiga por siempre DEBBIE GIBSON...un ochentero de corazón.
