OMG, this brings back so many memories from my teen years!!!!
Ответитьlost a great guitarist...lots of miles and stories on that body
ОтветитьWhen I was 16 years old in 1983, I started playing the guitar. I had a couple lessons, and my teacher gave me a bunch of papers with chord progressions and the like. One of them was for The Statesboro Blues from this record, so I went and found a used copy for a couple bucks. I ended up spending countless hours in my garage with my old Fender Mustang jamming along to At Fillmore East. I just found out that Dickey Betts passed yesterday, so I'm a little bummed. Only Jai Johanny Johanson left now. RIP brother.
ОтветитьI am sitting here drinking Jameson remembering the Brothers on my favorite version of Stormy Monday Toasting to the Boys for all the great memories Only One Left
ОтветитьOdd. My Fillmore East album from 73 has an edited version of this track, no harmonica solo
ОтветитьRIP Dickey Betts 18 April 24.
ОтветитьI saw the Allman Brothers in Houston Texas. Berry Oakley had just passed. I caught the drumstick from them and shared a Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer. I had jumped with other people over the wall and we ran up to the front of the Stage! Coolest Concert ever! Long may the Allman Brothers music live on! 🎸🎸🎸💕💕🥰
ОтветитьT bone walker done that song 😊😊/ alert king made that song 1 his own 2 and is better 😊🎉 OMG 4 22 2O24
ОтветитьMonday morning blues.
ОтветитьWe loved this live double album here as baby hippies of 16 in Mt.Eliza on Port Philip Bay, 40 km down the bayside from Melbourne, Australia in 1971. Vale Dicky Betts.
ОтветитьI've listened to a lot of blues, from the 1920s through today, and for my money, this is, hands down, the best blues song ever released.
ОтветитьThe best live album ever recorded.
ОтветитьFunny story about this picture...the band had been aggravated with the photographer all day...and Skydog went and scored an 8 ball right before...he has it cupped in his hands.
ОтветитьThey were the best days. It makes me sad
ОтветитьThe reason they're all laughing in the above photo is because Duane is covering up a sack of weed with his hands! Like Skynyrd, there will never be another band like this again in our lifetime! And that's a damn shame!
ОтветитьClassic
ОтветитьHunter Thompson understood.
Ответитьthe first...and the best .
ОтветитьOne of the first albums that I bought when I was 15 back in '75. Those were the days
ОтветитьSometimes all the notes on a live album just seem to fall in the right place, and this was one of those albums…perfection 👍
ОтветитьI love this and I love One Way Out. Best rock/blues band to ever walk this earth.
ОтветитьHas anybody else noticed the number of comments that start with “I “. Mild narcissism?
ОтветитьWhen blues was King!
ОтветитьMan this takes me way back to my youth and my daddy who KNEW great music!! Thanks for the memories because of music that transports you memories live on forever!! Miss you daddy but will never forget you❤😢
ОтветитьThis still sends chills up my spine, never get tired of it.
ОтветитьHow about lord i was born a ramblin man, rollin down hiway 41
ОтветитьHow bout 2 drummers on the same wavelengh?
ОтветитьI am absolutely in agreement with your comment!
ОтветитьI’ve listened to this more times than I can recall even though I listen to various genres of music. To me this is pure musical genius that engages the listener on a deep level.
ОтветитьThanks Slash
ОтветитьYou can't get better than this I miss that southern rock and roll music Rip
ОтветитьI feel like an orphan without this band that I have followed since 1969
ОтветитьAll time great cut 🍑🍄
ОтветитьThis the first 12,bar song I ever learned, and few do it better, maybe if sunshine doesn't get herricane maybe, she will get this, just keep hopeing.
ОтветитьThe first 12, bar song I learned.

ОтветитьAllman Brothers, Stormy Monday, at the Fillmore, to
me best version Ever
❗😎💯
Who is on the harmonica here?
ОтветитьMy favorite group and song. ❤❤❤Namaste
ОтветитьBeen a fan of the ABB since I first heard Eat a Peach in 1972. Amazing chemistry and nobody else could touch them. Thankfully I got to see them several times high and low. But they were simply the most badass band in the land. Period. Melody was made by Duane and Dickey and Gregg, and what a bottom end foundation thanks to Berry, Butch and Jaimoe. Nobody else comes close…
ОтветитьOut here, just after midnight in the garage. Can't sleep. Boy, I sure hope that the neighbors like this song cause their gonna hear it.
ОтветитьMy buddy wanted to cover one of their songs basslines and I bowed out, nope...this dudes like flawless timing technique. A man knows his limits 😂
Ответить1974, I rented my first pad above a house garage. A cute girl I barley knew in high school showed up at my door wanting to give me a house warming gift. Mean while in the background I was playing (not too loudly) this very album. She asked if she could come in and listen cause she's never heard such great music... Needless to say the rest of the night was pure magic. Ahhh the 70s.
ОтветитьEvery time I hear this song I want to go to a county baseball game
ОтветитьDefinitely one the best i heard ; but that was a long time ago
