My ddm4a1 ris2 milspec plus has been reliable as it gets for me. Shot the last 1300 rounds with a dirty bcg and runs smooth with sum sotar lube. A 2021 model

The carrier resets the trigget an it is doing its job. I say yank that trigger and drop in a good one and find out. As of right now you have a battle rifle I would not use in battle.

For all the centray arms vska hate at lest it made it to 5 thousand rounds.

lol thats why i don’t like free float handguards eventually they shift over time even when ur not dropping them

You have to clean and take care of it and it might work hahaha

Too many problems for what they charge. You should never have a problem with a rifle that cost that much.

The 500$ PSA didn’t have these problems.

The funny thing is, I guarantee you a M&P Sport II or PSA Freedom wouldn't be malfunctioning like this at 2,500 rounds. What's the old saying? A fool and his money are easily separated?

I have a DD sling shot and a DD spit ball straw , both have that many rds and still going strong

I lost confidence in the AR platform at a range 1.5 hours from my home and in the middle of nowhere. I have a relatively new(perhaps only 100-150 rounds down the pipe) Adams Arms AR. I went to fire and heard a metallic click, couldn’t charge the rifle, took it apart, and come to find out the firing pin retaining pin had sheared off and the firing pin was just floating around. Complete failure with no way to recover without a new cotter pin. My heart just sank. The only real advantage that an AR has over an AK is the ability to carry a base load of 210 rounds comfortably, but what good is the ammo if you don’t have a rifle to function religiously?

Well, the trash DD factory trigger needs to be replaced with a Geissele anyway.💁‍♂️

The spring imbedded inside trigger was holding the disconnector must have been wedged is my guess

It looks like one leg of the hammer spring was out of place. It looks to be underneath the trigger pin.

Absolutely unacceptable for a $2000 rifle. Literally failed in the field under 2500rds. My PSA that costs $500 or so has gone about 3300 rounds now and not a single issue. But people will still think they need to buy the more expensive gun

That's unfortunate. 99% of Daniel Defense still shoot after over 10,000 rounds put through it.

When you put a fancy trigger on and veer from milspec things are going to get spicy.

I'll take Ddm4 v7 over any AK.

I don't understand people that pay insane amounts of money for Daniel Defense. Buy a FN15. Much better quality. Or save up some more and get a HK MR556. If it can't take at least 10,000 rounds, it's not worth more than a grand.

This is the only video I’ve seen with a negative review of the DDm4V7. I’m about to buy one so I’m curious to what the problem was in the lower. What rifles do you recommend over this in that price range?

Is the bolt an original Daniel Defense part? In my country (Slovenia) they swap the bolt for Windham weaponary part, because of the "Full auto" compatibility of the Daniel defense bolt.. As far as i know they swap it in all the European countries.. I will test it hardcore and see if the bolt causes any problems on my rifle..

The issues you were having were because the magazine was being pushed up when you had it on the grass

There's a good chance you had a blown primer that got down into the trigger group and when you opened it up to look at it it fell out. I've had that happen with a PSA rifle... I could manually cycle the action and it would pick up a round and it would fire... it would pick up the next round and chamber it but the trigger wouldn't reset. It's a weird malfunction and I couldn't tell you why it will fire if you manually cycle it but in my case that's what would happen...

Busted primer pocket. If you pull the trigger group out I bet there will be a three pointed little piece of metal messing the trigger up.

Wow! This rifle is about $1,800 online. Meanwhile a cheap Radical Firearms AR for about $600 goes to almost 5k rounds. The Law of Diminishing Returns in action. More money does not mean proportionately better.

Could it be your ammo ? I just got my DDM4A1 and put 750 rounds and no issues. Same goes with my Springfield Saint 300 blackout Pistol over 1500 flawless no jams. Nothing superior supersonic rifle!
