These performances and voices are extraordinary. But, the arrangement moves like a funeral dirge. Not surprising, I suppose, since it’s based on the melody of Amazing Grace. And the brightness of this song found in the original Helen Reddy and Tanya Tucker versions are lost. This arrangement is pretty but so maudlin and dreary I couldn’t wait until it was over.
