Who would want a pet when you can just have a friend that lives in the woods? That’s what I would want, they can take care of themselves and we could just hang out. Saves me the responsibility lol. 😂

as with many crow videos ppl touch/pet crows WAAAY lower their head, and then thinking they're happy when they shake their tail. they're sure happy, just not they way ppl think. imagine someone's constantly petting your nipples. it gets birds sexually frustrated and they think ppl or objects are their mates (esp in captivity where they cant interact with their species). getting hormonal without action may lead to all sort of problems, considering rescued animals are already way out of their normal state (even if healthy). just please be careful handling birds and don't pet all animals alike, read first (pet counterpart may shade some more light). you can still be friends, but let birds get bird mates

Not even surprised about Pepe getting attached to Xena.
In the wild, ravens (basically a crow's larger cousin) form strong attachments to wolves.
I guess Pepe identifies as a raven and sees Xena as his wolf friend.
