Why is is saying “cuál es tu nombre?” instead of “cómo te llamas?”

i thought cual was used when we have choices, so would it work in cual es tu nombre because there is a set amount of names?

How am I just finding out about this channel?? I’ve been slowly learning Spanish for coming close to 11 years now in the US, but somehow there’s always a block without fluency (and sometimes fast speech), but the phrases given are picked well which could actually create fluidity in the conversation when you’re not a native speaker. Well done!

If you need to memorise these phrases I would swap "I don't speak Spanish well" to "Is there anyone who can speak English/my language?"

Also; I always say "hablo peqeuño Español."
