Google does not allow time to automatically sync with external time bases. One can manually sync it--rootless mode--which works fine for WSPR applications as long as your android is within a one-second of the atomic clock. With a little practice, one develops a calibrated finger with which to set the time.

This cheaty apps needs rooted devices. What we need is fucking developpers who is capable of create functionnals programs without rooting. A rooted device is more vulnerable for attacks so it is time for programmers to learn how to do it without rooting.

..... this video is an ad not a trouble shooting tutorial theirs easier ways to fix a phone that's having clock sync issues than installing an app that you don't need.

Yeah I am not rooting my phone. I have learned that the only time my phone syncs with the cell tower is when I reboot the phone. When it starts up, it is set perfectly with NIST's atomic time. However, over time it drifts and will be off by a number of seconds within a couple weeks. So the only solution I have found to keeping accurate time is to reboot my phone about once a week.

Need instructions on how to use Rootless mode. So far I haven't been able to get Last sync: never message to go away.
The help pages mention pressing a sync button, but I don't see no sync button! Now my phone beeps at the top of every minute and I can not turn that off!
