In the late sixties, I saw "Bonnie and Clyde" at the movies in 1967. This was before cable TV, and in order to see a movie when it came out, one HAD to see it at the "picture show", which were (usually) decorated and where only ONE movie played, over and over. I was a freshman in high school, as I'm 70 now. The movie was EXTREMELY popular and kicked off a craze, actually. The death car, a 1934 4 door Ford V8, became famous in its own rite. I saw it while it was touring the country in a trailer in Lake Charles, LA while parked in a shopping center parking lot. Shopping "malls" were rare and really hadn't even been developed at that time!
