For future reference, 14.5º is not strong for a red wine, the alcohol content of a red wine should be around 14º according to most standards around the world. For reference too, Limoncello is a drink from southern Italy, not Cinque Terre. It should be drunk on the Amalfi Coast where it is more typical. And believe me, there is no Limoncello like the one from the Amalfi coast, ironically the red wine from this region is also very good.
But if you want good red and white wines...come to Portugal.

For anyone travelling to Italy, please be careful of theft and pocket theft. They prawl on tourists. Very beautiful and glad you enjoyed. Those little yellow things you were eating looked like lupini. Not nuts. They're actually a bean. You're supposed to push it out and it pops out. You can buy them in America too, at ethnic specialty stores. Or you can make them yourself, just a pain in the culo.

The dessert that you actually ate in the streets of the city is a typical Christmas sweet called 'Cartellate' or 'Carteddàte' in the local dialect. They are made of thin pasta while the sauce is cooked grape must. Hope you enjoyed spending time here!

What a lovely city indeed! Ah Sinterklaas ( Saint Nicholas), my childhood memories are so sweet. In the Netherlands it was traditional to have gifts ont he eve of the 5th December, the name day of St Nicholas being the 6th. With the modern world now there are presents under the Christmas tree as well now. Kinda sad the tradition is losing ground. My most delicious gnocchi meal was in Italy. I'd go back just for that.
