Im watching this a year later & I stand on what I said. Shes so much faster than the Russian girls & its effortless speed. Not to mention, her jumps are ridiculous😅. The height, distance & flow in and out is just insane. But the judges will place skaters w/underrotated quads ahead of her.

I watched the whole competition, short and free programm and I can tell when Kaori started to dance, I told everyone around me to shut up, cause I knew this moment and this stunning young lady will write olympic history. 🍀🍀🍀

I remember the Finnish olympic caster being in awe with Sakamoto's performances. She said something like "look at how when you skate it shows freedom and power of what you are capable to do and it shows beautifully"

It's so amazing how her 2A has so much distance and flow. I really find it so much more exciting than most of the 3A attempts we are now seeing in ladies skating, which are often short and under-rotated.
