Definitely best to use a white bordered deck though so no accidents when fanning for the spectator to pick. I usually used an 8 or less. 😉

I knew this trick at 10 years old but not with kings or such. I used say make a scary face, we are going to scare your card right out the deck. When we found the upside card and they said no that's not it I would say well you scared this card into giving me a clue. And then count to their card

I prefer impromptu tricks with coins or other everyday items because everybody doesn't have a deck of cards on them. Cards also immediately lead people to tricks (sleight of hand) or stacked decks
