I'm on my second 450 super duty pulling a DRV 21K (scaled weight) went from a 2020 to a 2025 HO and running @ no faster then 65 up and down the east coast pull a constant 10.3 to 10.5 mph respectably, When I get into Fla,sometimes better, those Powerstrokes pull some great fuel mileage. Your gas mileage is great. I have a 25’ Class C 2017. And I get average 7mpg best is 10mpg. I had a car towed and it was still very fast to hook up. I’m all for getting ride of rattles to. I don’t have solar and I have a 1000W Jackery for charging my computers etc but I can do well without electricity for a good amount of time. I also feel like I’m just driving a big pickup truck. Enjoy.

Loving the new rv & the size of it. We just rolled into Elkhart to have our Class C looked at then heading to the Grand Canyon. We'll be out west all summer, maybe we'll see ya down the road.

The floating you’re feeling in the front end is the 19.5” Continental tires. The tread depth is deeper and the lugs actually flex a bit. I changed the tires on my F450 at 102000 miles and noticed it again. It dissipates as the tires wear.

Just curious after Rving for 5 years why is your power cord dancing in the air? Keep it from getting dirty?

Consider adding liquid sprinds on your rig. You won't fight the steering and the unit will not sway. It's a real game changer, it will drive like a corvette.

I'd recommend you install the sumo springs and the Road master RSSC Reflex steering stabilizer , they make a world of difference so the wind won't toss you around, I got a 24 ft class c rv and I replaced the shocks with The Bilstein B6 Front and rear rear shocks Absorber kit for ford, the front sumo springs in front and back and replaced the sway bar bushings 25.4, And we took it out on a strong windy day just to test it out and I was doing 65 mph and I couldn't feel the wind, It really didn't bother me, as before I would pull over and wait out the wind storms.

Sumo springs and heavier steering stabilizer will fix the floating feeling. All class C's have the same feeling.

Hello Chris and Aaron! We are out on a 2 week stint in Palm Springs. A very bitter sweet development-- our condo is under contract to sell. We really love the area. So, we will be back; probably in our travel trailer....or whatever we get in the future! It is warmer here than in the winter, obviously. The benefit is I have been on the Cactus to Clouds trail 10 times; and have only seen 4 people total.

That’s kind of unsanitary having your sewer hoses and water filter and hoses in the same location. Are they all like that?

Josh the RV nerd just did a video on the new Brinkley 235 TT and it is a sweet setup. Just about everything is accessible with the slide in. Really excited about that new rig.
Really looking forward to see how your new adventures go. Looks like a pretty easy going setup. Looking forward to seeing your comparison to some of your other setups. We're rolling in a truck camper with the intent to pull a trailer with our new Honda sxs.

I would be ecstatic with 14 mpg! I have a 2001 31ft class C Winnebago on a Ford chassis with a Triton V10 (gas of course) and my mpg is typically around 7 or 8 max

I put mine in the electric bay on top there’s a spot and it won’t slide because of the the wood they mount sits high I have the same floor plan you see when you look

Use a length of household evetrough caped at both ends to put sewer hose in.

Atta boy Aaron. We all knew you could drive that thing! 14 mpg is great. Our Mercedes Sprinter does not do much better than that at 12,000 lb., and smaller engine. Amazing. We added a heavy duty sway bar on the Sprinter chassis to replace the standard option. That helped that floating motion, and provides control in those side wind gusts. Looking forward to seeing where you will take your new rig.

I had the Equalizer (EQ) system installed on our previous Thor Chateau 28Z Class C. It worked really well, but now that I have a fifth wheel with the Lippert Level Up system with the little lights and the screen that shows you how many degrees off of level you are certain makes it easier to manually level compared to the EQ System. I used a Levelmate Pro in our Class C to help me determine the best spot to stop and whether I needed blocks under the tires before leveling.

On a sidenote, I apologize if you’ve addressed this in a previous video since this isn’t your first diesel, I suggest that you use a diesel fuel additive to add lubricity and cetane to the ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) that we’re all forced to buy.

Do the math for a more accurate mpg. Those computers are not always right on.

Congrats! 14 mpg is incredible fuel mileage. The last Ford Diesel pick-up I had, a 6.4, only got about 10 mpg towing. Our Class A with the Ford V-10 gasser gets about 8 mpg pulling our toad, but that's not in the mountains. There, all bets are off. Of course it gets great mileage going down hill. As FTers, gas mileage on our coach is less important to us than the gas mileage on our toad is. We average about 5k miles a year on our MH. $3.30/gallon avg. price of regular gas puts our annual gas expense for our coach at only $2,063, whereas the 30 mpg toad driven 13k miles a year costs us another $1,430 for a total of around $3,500/yr. or less than $10/day. Since we have been living off grid for the last 2 years, our RV park/campground expense is minimal, so we look at our fuel expense as our housing cost, which is less than the property taxes we used to pay on our stick and brick home.

get some reflector tape for your slide out that's what i use on mine to hopefully prevent some unawake drivers from hitting you in your sleep, so far no one has ever hit my slide outs.
