Going through abortion is not easy. If you did or your going to, just know that the little soul who chose you is fine, and that there is unconditional love between you and this soul. That you can experience the love of this little soul anytime, and that you are just a portal for this soul to come from the divine to earth. That you can choose to be that portal or say no, with love. Haters and can judge and fear all they like, this is the power of a woman to choose. JP Sears, please go deeper in your reflections before using your voice.. 🙏🏼 bless you

I've came to the crossroads of abortion in my life. While I don't judge women who have had an abortion unless it's used often as a form of birth control. I've known women who do that. I believe in it in the cases of rape and endangerment of the mothers life. I've seen very scared young girls at the hospital for an abortion. And I get it. They are terrified either way. I didn't allow my ex to push me into the procedure. And I'm very happy for it. But for many young women who think that abortion is the answer to your problems, please rethink it. You will have to live with that decision (emotionally) for the rest of your life. And then there's the physical complications. One of the girls I worked with at the hospital had an abortion when she was young. She had a very hard time conceiving and had lost at least five children. It was all due to complications of the abortion. She almost died each time she was pregnant. And don't think that she didn't think about and grieve that child she aborted. It stayed with her the rest of her life. There are emotional consequences that they don't tell women about.

We own a rooster who has a bad habit of chasing foxes so we keep him safe so he doesn't hurt himself. Yet, "Nugget" the rooster has more common sense and intelligence than this hippie. In the old days, they used to call people like him simpletons. Family members loved them, but they would never allow them to speak publicly ^^^ for this exact reason or shall I say anti-reason? 😕

This was posted 4 months ago and JP still does NOT understand the arguments presented by the different groups!! Though I voted "for" abortion in 1972, after a few decades of life experiences "I have learned, I have come to realize" abortion or what really is getting pregnant, is NOT about RIGHTS but is about being RESPONSIBLE". Why is it NO ONE wants to talk about what it means to be a "responsible human being anymore!!

A baby is not part of a womans body. He or she is a individual human being with their own body growing inside the womb of a woman. Yes, a woman has the right to decide for her own body, but when she agrees to an abortion, she is deciding to end the life of another human being

We have free will......yes.....but we will not be free from the consequences of murder. Murder is not a freedom or right to choose.......it is a sin that we commit. If man makes it lawful to murder......it is still murder in God's eyes.

humans kill animal babies, not only kill them but torture them as this is standard in animal agriculture in dairy farms and the eating of any animals. How come killing babies stops at only humans and no humans except vegans care about the systematic slavery, torture and killing of mother animals and her children. Killing both humans and animals is evil.

I also agree with JP, it's up to the woman to decide whether she is going to murder her child or give him/her life. They'll get consequences for their deeds lately.

J.P. there is no freedom to do evil. True freedom is to be able to do good. Doing evil is slavery.

Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin." John 8:34

For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

There is no liberty if there's no life.

A true libertarian must oppose abortion at all costs to promote and preserve liberty.

Besides, abortion violates the Non-Aggression Principle (NAP).

If something is evil then there ought not be any freedom to commit it since the value of human life, the inherent dignity of human life, is something that "freedom of choice" presupposes. Hence, the right of every human being to live, including the pre-born child, precedes the right to freedom, especially in the case of abortion where two human lives are involved - not only one.

I think JP will come around eventually. He used to be a liberal and pro abortion, now he’s conservative and changed his view on abortion. I think he’s a smart enough guy that he’ll realize this contradiction in his position and hopefully someday soon he’ll be fully pro life, as in supporting legal protection for the unborn.

So he thinks freedom means you should be allowed to do anything you want? I assumed advocating for maximal libertarian freedom would be advocating for being able to do anything you want so long as it doesn't affect someone else's freedom, but apparently not. Surely by his logic, the government could use their freedom to take away all of our freedom! Ridiculous logic. Really, the truth is that we should have the freedom to do whatever we like that is morally right.

It is so easy for a man to be anti abortion. You don’t have to sacrifice anything to feel on a moral high ground. You can not die from giving birth or being pregnant, you can not get pregnant from rape, you can have as much sex as you please and your state of health won’t change. Plus, god is not an argument because not everyone believes in your personal sky daddy.
I really hope that women who want to have ownership of their own body will never chose those kinds of men. They are literally a threat to women.

So I can see that it is pretty easy to ridicule JP's position here as untenable, but the explanation is pretty simple. He sees liberty as the highest good, and other goods are subordinate to it, such as the right to life. To some extent it makes sense: for example, you could otherwise make a utilitarian argument for robbing a rich person in order to help many poor people stave off hunger. I would posit though that life is much messier than that, and you can't always put goods into a clear hierarchy as it inevitably leads to contradictions. You have to be willing to make judgments and take the heat for supposed "hypocrisy". In the case of abortion the life of the unborn is clearly and obviously more important than the liberty "lost" by the parent.

Abortion is murder and always wrong, but do you really think the government is capable of stopping it? I really don't want to see America go back to coat hangers and shop vacs in dirty basements and let's not forget in the late '80s throughout the 90s there were quite a few bombings of abortion clinics by folks that thought they had the answer to solve the problem by means of religious ideal

Back in the day, the way I understood "my body my choice" was in reference to what the woman's body would go through during pregnancy and childbirth. The pain of childbirth is no joke. My first child felt like I was being tortured because he was face up and his head was pressing on my spine. Demerol did absolutely nothing for the pain and it went on for 8 hours. My second child came very quickly, and I gave birth in the ER without any medication, but my placenta didn't come out so the doctor after all that childbirth pain, looked me in the eye and said "Ok, this is going to hurt!" then he reached inside and ripped it out. If he hadn't done that, I would have hemorrhaged to death. BTW, both of my sons were wanted. I do think abortion is evil in most cases but at the same time, it seems strange to me to force a person to give birth. Especially if they are very young. Either way it's a terrible situation.

Roughly 61% of Americans agree with JP, and I challenge everyone to watch his detailed argument on his own channel. The unique nature of pregnancy which demands that one sacrifice her body for a time to sustain another makes it in a class separate from standard murder.

But yes, it's time for all sensible people to acknowledge that abortion is evil. The way to end it is through changing hearts and minds, not laws.

The fact that JP said that abortion is evil, but that he believes in liberty, and that women should have the right to choose implies, to me that he is libertarian. The hint is when he mentioned, “group think conservatives.” If one looks up the definition of libertarian, it says, “relating to or denoting a political philosophy that advocates only minimal state intervention in the free market and the private lives of citizens.” Notice no state interference in the private lives of citizens. True Christians believe that abortion should be outlawed, but libertarians believe in complete liberty and free will and think that citizens, not the government, should have the right to choose their destiny. Not saying it’s right, but there it is.

There's so many people being killed, why? Because their being told that life has no value! Do you value life? Give the baby a chance. Do to others as you would have them do to you. Matthew 7:12 If the tables were turned would it have been okay for your baby to abort you? Instead repent/believe in God's son Jesus, he loves you and can change your heart.

I disagree with the guest and I'm definitely pro life but to be fair to his argument, I think most of us would agree that simply being immoral or hurting ppl shouldn't always define what is legal and illegal. For example homosexual acts and infidelity are both immoral and the latter certainly harms people grievously, you might go so far as to say they're evil actions, but most of us think that the GOVERNMENT shouldn't punish ppl for committing them. Why is abortion different? Thoughts?

Hopefully your guest is a work in progress... Hopefully, he will come to the same conclusion as Matt, which is:

A human being is a human being is a human being. If it is wrong to kill a human being, circumstance is not relevant. Always wrong.

Society has given the name of "the act of killing a human being": "murder." Killing a baby in the womb is the moral equivalent of killing a baby outside the womb (the womb being a minor detail, which it is, since the status of the "life" (a verifiable fact) either way is "human", i.e. made in God's image and likeness).

Murder being a very grave social and moral ill, should not be made legal "depending on circumstance".

Prayers for your guest to arrive at that natural and logical position (especially since he has influence, since he has followers).
