Why Lewis Hamilton hates the simulator... because he's a snob and thinks he is above it. It's as simple as that. That's what he really means behind his words. That's how he'd explain why to a friend... "because its shit, not real and I'm an F1 driver, it cant teach me anything because I already know everything." "Why would I lower myself and sit in a sim when I can be self grandiose and sit in a real car and feel damn special about it?"
ОтветитьIm about to make a really KIDDISH comment, just for joke......Jackson Storm used simulator and McQueen didn't 😂😂😮
ОтветитьAlways excellent videos 🤯
ОтветитьExtremely long-winded with no actual content.
ОтветитьYet ironically he was the ambassador and "maestro" of Gran Turismo.
ОтветитьMax uses sims..............
🏆
Lol maybe he would actually win haha
ОтветитьI think Lewis has many avenues available to him to exercise his desire to race and drive....that most of us do not have. He simply does not need a simulator.
ОтветитьThis is why MV destroys him.
ОтветитьI agree with Hamilton. If he was in the RedBull car he would be winning every race as well. Pretty much anyone on the grid could win with that car.
ОтветитьPerhaps modern million dollar team-built simulators are good . I can't see how a simulator would be good for an F1 professional, especially in Hammy's early days. There's so many factors like road feel through steering and suspension, temperature, humidity and more. For a professional that is a lack of sensory information.
Sims have come a long way since Hamilton started, that's probably his reason for not liking them. I don't blame him one bit. With MB's resources, why not practice with the real thing.
1/3 of the video is ad......glad I can fast forward
ОтветитьWhen you have raced all these tracks over and over since you were 4.....I get it.
Ответитьomg video about nothing, Ham just did not sell his ass to sim companies, why? idk maybe he thinks its BS maybe the price was not worth it.
ОтветитьIn order for a Sim-rig to propperly simulate g-forces, maybe it is a possibility to mounted it on a ring structure like astronauts use for g-training.
ОтветитьWhat if.... you have great everything else and can gain an edge by improving the one thing other drivers aren't. For example adding superior visual capabilities to your toolkit. You get Max not Ham.
ОтветитьI just ran across this video and found it very interesting. First Lewis Hamilton is a very experienced driver., he went through 3 massive F1 vehicle and rule changes! He might be too set in his ways though. Let me explain, I think he is overlooking the value of a simulator. It is true that there are simisms, things that are unique to a simulator and nothing like the real world. Simulators do get close enough that you can learn, adapt and grow as a driver. Case in point, the best fighter pilots in the world use a simulator to keep current skills and practice new ones. It cuts learning time in half or more. Max Verstapen has learned how to use this tool. Look at the dominant season he had this year. What I’m saying is that it is possible all drivers should use their simulators more. You can simulate mechanical errors track conditions etc…
ОтветитьSo true, i friend of mine drives alot of iracing in he's Sim, but i drive tracks in real life. And i find it alot harder to brake on the edge in the Sim then in real life. I can't feel the g forces and the feeling even thought he has a very good setup is just not enought to feel the locking before it happens. But i do think racecraft, track knowledge, positioning ect. are things a sim can help you with. But driving on the edge every single lap seems more like gamebeling and mastering the game mechanics then mastering you'r own skill. You learning to deal with the game, and extraction the most out of it. But there will always be a little bit left out because of the lack of g forces and a motion rig is just not good enough(also most motion rigs don't have the screens mounted at the rig, so the rig moves but the image does not (very distracting).
ОтветитьHe hardly ever drive a simulator, and he hardly ever wins any races now lmao Verstappen does both wonderfully
ОтветитьI guess Max showed how useful the simulator is.
ОтветитьHow about you let Hamilton himself explain, FFS.
ОтветитьI thought Valterri once said that Lewis often spent a LOT more time at the simulator, coming in early/staying late. I always assumed LH used them as much as anyone.
ОтветитьYeah, it shows.
ОтветитьIts another tool but nothing can replace real , very interesting , I enjoyed it. Thanks
ОтветитьHere is an interesting thought I had ,maybe the Red Bull car is designed backwards, usually it’s the car then the sim is set up to its specs, what if red Bull used max’s perfect specs on the sim to design the car around that ,I was thinking about this when I was wondering why checo isn’t as good in the same car ,neither was Danny ric ,these were my two option 1-max is that good 2-the car is literally molded to max’s driving style based on sim data
ОтветитьI agree with Lewis Hamilton. I race a open wheel modified on dirt and have raced for over 20 years with pretty good success but I am not very good with Sim racing because I can't feel the car in the seat of my pants. Granted, the wheel I used was not the greatest of quality but I felt like I wasn't getting enough feel of what the car was doing.
Ответитьbecause hamilton is a mediocre driver.
ОтветитьHow many product placements can you feel?
ОтветитьNot a hamilton fan, but i agree with him on this. On the flip side you get time on wheel and button control.
ОтветитьSim racers dont like racing and cars, they like gaming. Thats why u can see sim racers drive tesla and u never see real world racers or even car enthusiast drive that shit.
ОтветитьAnd that's why max will surpass hamilt9n. Max is the goat.
Ответитьdude how many sideadverts are you going to put into 7min clip. I will block your channel
ОтветитьHe avoids the sim because he believes he won 6 championship out of skill and not overpowered machinery..... on a lvl playing field ferrari redbull and merc would all have taken a driver or constructors once or twice, in that era. Honda and redbull die a great job to be competitive in 2021 against the merc monster
ОтветитьThe sim is where you learn to benefit from Masi's "human errors" and budget cap breaches.
Ответитьlewis is one of the old school f1 drivers where testing realtime was the norm and simulators where mainly used if you couldnt get to an actual race track..He probably only sees it as too arcade and needs that realtime feel to really gauge where he is at with the car and track. Does it make you better? depends on what you need it for as a driver as it can familirise youself with a track if changes are made and maybe get an eye for your car setup, never know he might start to change his approach going forward.Remember alot of excellent sim racers are not great race drivers when given the chance....🧐
Ответитьdo a video as to why everyone hate lewis next...
ОтветитьNo wonder max drives like it’s a game
Ответитьimo whatever reason LH has for hating it, I think its bs because max loves the sim and is beating Lewis Hamilton quite often.
Ответитьlewis thinks he is cool
Ответитьmax disagree 😄
ОтветитьI really don't get why drivers let testing drivers do the simulator work... If the point is to dial in the car for the drivers preference as quickly as possible, why would you not let the driver himself do the sim work?!
ОтветитьMax verstapen world champion...
Hamilton the past.
Hamilton is a Arrogant person.
His Political game - the way he sees racing etc etc. No wonder Max is Ripping his ass apart.
The fact he says "Simulators are pointless" is the proof he will fall even faster then i expected.
Lewis allways had a superior car, when you put him behind a simulator it will immedietly show that he really isn't that good.
So just cruise around in superior cars and receive a lot of help from the UK media and then he can allways act like he's a good racing driver, despite a computer would instantly show he really isn't that good.
why its not standard yet to show both kmh and mph?
ОтветитьHe hates everything, just retire and have done with it.
ОтветитьThat's why he can't win anymore
ОтветитьDid age well for Lewis. Max has been amazing in the last 2 years
Ответить100% correct that sims are useless for driver development. Probably to the point of being detrimental.
But definitely very useful for car development. IF you don't by mistake develop a car that will be fast in the sim, but not in real life.
You can just decide not to use a tool you dont like, as Hamilton does, saying it's wasted energy. Yet, even on weekends where he hates the track (like Vegas), Max still spent as much time working in the sim as he could because "hed be kicking himslef if he didnt do everything he could and then lost". With Lewis, he just does what he wants based on what he likes to do. Is this extra sim sense of what the car does on the edge why Max beat him for the past 3 seasons? Who can say?
Ответить
