The situation wasn't Jack Perry's making and let be honest taken in isolation his "comment" should never have resulted in someone deciding to have a physical fight in front of their own boss. My view it was him tying to be a heel it up referenceing a story that had been going round the dirtsheets in the lead up to the event, a comment for the smart marks if you will ( which is about 90% of AEW audience). For Punk is was a straw that broke the camels back, and a culmination of all the percieved slights leading up to them (real or imagined).
TK completely failed to address the issue when it first started, with Hangman and Punk (maybe there was other stuff prior off camera), then Brawl Out, not intervening and putting the foot down but just giving Punk Collision as his own personal playground. Rumours were he sent several people away from taping do to personal affiliations and grudges Matt Hardy, Nemeth and Christopher Daniels (the head of talent relations!?).

TK didn't discipline anyone or lay the law down, he gave the kids some treats and told them to stay away from each other. Expected that to smooth everything over, anyone with kids or siblings knows that doesn't work, and wasn't long before the next explosion happened off something pretty minor unsurprisingly.
