Ответитьআলুপোস্ত এ আলু সিদ্ধ হবার পর পোস্ত মেশাতে হয়। আগে দিলে পোস্তর গন্ধ চলে যায় আলু ঠিকমত সিদ্ধ হয় না।আর পিয়াজ ছাড়া কালোজিরে ছাড়াই হয়।বর্ধমান এর ঘটি আমি।

ОтветитьMy version I use panch phoron, and holud (turmeric) in it. I also chop the onions and cook potatoes along with it after browning, some kancha longka (hari mirch, green chilis chopped), and then add the turmeric mixed with water to sizzle in pan, before adding more water. Potatoes are diced very small. The texture makes a difference. The poppy seed (posto) is not pulverized, only slightly crushed in a pestle or Mexican molcajete. Yum!

But you either do the whole recipe in Bangla that non Bengalis don't understand or you make one with English subtitles that have no Bangla in them. This will not do. We need to make every recipe with Bangla being spoken, and also some English subtitles. Problem solved, and all of us Bongs will also be able to enjoy listening to the language. As an expat, I need to hear Bangla spoken, music to my ears. What say you?

ОтветитьLove this dry aloo posto. I just fry the onion in kadai with aloo when the aloo is already half fried. It gives a flavour of almost fried onion but not deep fried.
