the hospitals who knew about all those murders should be fired and pay for all medical bills to those families who lost their loved ones, so devastating 💔 I hope the families sue

Amazing performance by Jessica and Eddie. I just watched it and it really hit me
hard. Had my family member been murdered by Cullen I would still be reeling with
anger. 😤😡🤬
To me it reminded me of the Catholic Priests being moved to other churches
after their serious crimes. Move Cullen around different hospitals ...knowing that
in their hearts and guts they knew he was guilty, but couldn't prove it! Sickening. 🤢

I think everyone agrees that hospital ignoring his crime is what actually terrifying. Like “we know what we do but we won’t expose you cuz that will ruin us as well”. Kinda like in American Psycho when the apartment owner lady insist that there’s no dead bodies

Coding in big city hospitals is not that unusual. Ever been to the ER or with a relative in the hospital? I would hear codes announced many times. So the coding itself is not unusual, depending on what kind of hospital it is. If there are rarely any critical patients and then suddenly all this coding starts when they hire a nurse...well it is not rocket science.

A nurse who stole narcotics multiple times got caught. She accused my friend for crimes she committed, however there were medication record. No police involved since stealing narcotics is consider side effect of drug addiction, which is disease. I know it’s crazy. This nurse can still practice nursing as long as her employer is aware of incidents.

The American judicial system is really weak and ridiculous. How selfish and irresponsible people are, I mean the colleagues and employees of the hospitals where the killer worked on them. except for the nurse who helps the police and she is hero.

I happened to listen to an interview on NPR of a doctor who has bipolar disorder and who has suffered with depression for years, who has gotten treatment, therapy, and worked hard for years to be healthy. He was always open about his past struggles, never had a history of aggression in any way nor attempted harm, and yet was pretty much “black-listed” at his hospital. This is a serious case of bias and even treads on gray area around discrimination.

It may seem like a very fine, blurry line between allowing someone with a past of mental health issues IN RELATION TO AGGRESSION AND VIOLENCE, not in other cases because we are all prone to mental health ups and downs in life, and because plenty of people with mental health problems are able to perform their jobs adequately in many cases. (I Can think of many people who have endured catastrophic divorce, the loss of a loved one, the revisiting of past traumas, having an alcoholic family member, etc. who managed to be excellent workers despite their problems, for example).

Having said that, I am hoping whatever systems hospitals have for keeping patients safe and red-flagging dangerous staff are now in place. There is absolutely no excuse for something like this to have happened, much less to the extent that it did.

It’s outrageous that this guy was allowed to go from hospital to hospital, even though he was under suspicion at each one. I liked the movie, and am reading the book now. Eddie Redmayne was incredible, as always. Dude was much crazier than the movie showed. I found all of this terrifying. I’m a cancer survivor, with multiple chronic conditions. No idea how many times I’ve been hospitalized. This is terrifying to me. I also watched the documentary on Netflix, which was also really good.

It makes me so frustrated how he still has never explained why he did it. I just want to know why, like what did that do for him? Killing innocent people? I understand he’s obviously insane and a psychopath but I just feel like their has to be a reason ? Anyone else?

The sad thing is this still happens today. Look up the following: Johnathan Hayes from NC gave lethal insulin doses to two patients who died earlier this year, officials say. He was arrested on murder charges Tuesday (10/25/22).

I have watched the good Nurse, and its good. I would recommend others to take a look at it. You will get lots of interesting and trill scenes. Also, the movie will show the sloppy work of the American hospital system in those days.

I believe that it keeps happening these days. The difference is that there is a massive cover up and censure of those healthcare workers that come forward to share what they've seen. Especially from the end of 2019. But most of them choose to ignore and keep their jobs.

Many of these killings were acts of mercy.hospitals waste alot of valuable resources and time on patients that would only gain a few months or miserable years.
And now tax payers money will be wasted on keeping him alive for the next 20 + years.

Don't ever be surprised they go away with it.

People go where their demons are.

Pedophiles are teachers, daycare workers & clergy.
Medical community take drugs, are alcoholics, and/or psychopaths.
Pilots are drugs dealers and alchoholics.
Most psychopaths are politicians and CEOs.
You get the drift.

Way too many books on the subject.
And of course, It is a small percentage of people but still.

My point is, just because they are in a uniforms, suites, or scrubs, question everything and never be embarrassed or afraid of removing, reporting, or revoking a privilege to yourself or loved one.

Movie was stupid. I am a male nurse and was shocked at the stupidity of the people it portrayed. Police being told what to do by hospital staff and abiding by it...wtf? Is New Jersey fool of idiots? Hospitals withholding documents? Never allowed. Never educated the family on possible murder? I can go on and on but this is the reason I try to stay away from medical shows...horribly inaccurate on time frames and all the laws we nurses have to follow. And btw any nurse unable to perform thier duties shouldn't work. She put everyone under her care at risk. Imo that's unexcuseable knowing you can't help the patients as we saw during the CPR scene. Btw any internal investigation which any nurse or aide is associated means automatic suspension until cased resolved. Also police and family are notified immediately.
