The silencers are 800k each! In Germany we would call you a:"Schisser". Throw out the Ferraris, the Lambos, the Porsche...... You can make much money with such planes. Not only in the US. Think more GLOBAL.

There's nothing more expensive than a "free boat". Probably better stated as Nothing expensive than a cheap G3.

$334k bidder must know something about the engines/cores that you don't... the same countries that don't care about hush-kits also don't inspect engines that rigorously... 😉

Of course the very best ROI for a plane in this condition is... renting out the interior to poseurs on InstaSham/TikTok/SnapChat/etc. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

winning bidder probably just bought the g3 for the hushkits to refurbish and resell for 800k a piece as they aren’t to complex

Dude buy yourself some bitcoin forget getting a gulf stream. I don't follow this channel, but would be surprised if there is a follow-up video about getting another chance when the high bidders don't come up with the money.

It would all depend on what the engines are worth as parts, since they were low time engines.

Looks kinda familiar… flew on Pennzoil’s Gll’s in the late 80’s and early 90’s … I don’t know what happened when Shell purchased them… also had a new (at the time) Challenger … seating for 10 and it was fly-by-wire … pilot’s preferred the old G-2 controls

N888WE has an FAA certificate as of 2023-02-25, so someone spent the time and money to get it flying again.

The engines are probably alright despite exposed to elements. Those are $500k alone easily- impellers if not out of whack are $!00k each. Gear assemblies if brake rotors are good are another $350k. Mufflers are easily $250k. All in this one in particular has about a million bucks in hard to find parts.

It's a jalopy with headers and glass packs, weeds growing through the rims and up the struts. She's paid more apron fees than all her parts will ever be worth. Sad but take her apart, sell the good stuff and sell the hulk to China for scrap aluminum 😊

I would look for a good clean Embraer Phenom 300E. No, it's not a Gulfstream, but it is a very popular business jet designed to offer exceptional performance, comfort, and efficiency for a wide range of travel needs. Just a thought!

It'll cost around 5 million to get it airworthy again. 100k for the inspection alone. 800k for the air flight time and testing. Misc will probably run 100k. If you don't have millions in the bank, it's not flying.

In a previous life I bought top end cars, and my suppliers would describe a car down to stains on the carpet, and I never had a car misreprsented, you can only mislead a person once.
I could move them on without even checking them out. This is the same in the diamond trade, a mans word is his word, M and B is the rule of the trade.
