What a paradox, one video uper you test FN2 and it was last on ewerything, includes braking. Now is best on braking 😂😂😂

14.4 seconds quarter mile for the civic mugen and the fn2/ep3 did a 15.4 sec quarter mile time

Hopefully Honda follows Toyota's lead and returns to cleaner designs.

I owned two FN2s. The design was radical and fun. Suspension/chassis made them handle like go karts. Bucket seats were comfortable and supportive. Yet it was under powered and needed a turbo or something comparible to the weight saving of the Mugen equivalent to push its bhp to circa 240bhp. I think Honda made a mistake making them four door and so much larger. Whilst the performance of the latter models have sky rocketed with turbos, they look angular and ugly. FN2 wins the day for me.

EP3 is the best looking for me, I’ve always wanted one

The low profile tyres will make a big difference on ride .. put a smaller wheel with chunkier tyres would improve the ride I’m sure

I have a 2011 Civic and I absolutely LOOOVE IT. And its not even the Type R… regular 1.8. Before that I had the 2017 Civic and boy it doesnt come close to the 2011. ❤️

The EP3 is the lightest, the most mental and the original really but for every day… it’s the FN2 for me. It’s the best looking , the best interior design… love it. And the later ones are too over the top.

I got those same wheels on my Fiji coupe 🥵

Upgraded from an EP3 to an S2000. The S2000 is quicker, drives better, is a lot more fun in the corners (even when you aren't looking for fun) but part of me still misses that little mental pocket rocket. I was going to disagree with any other version winning this, EP3 is king.

very late to this, but, i recently picked up an eu3 civic with a d17a2 and 4 speed auto, its hilarious to drive because it has similar handling characteristics as the type r, lift off oversteer, just yank the wheel oversteer, they put effort even into the basic civics back then. its such a playful car despite its massive body roll and very noticeable understeer, but fix those you have a solid platform.

Pity the new has reduced revs down to 7,000rpm. The FN2, the best high rev car.

My First car was EK9, till this day, I can't find a better car than that. Stability, brakes, handling, speed; everything was top notch. I regret selling it till this day.

If I had to rank the Type R's personally I'd say:

1. FK8
2. EK9
3. EP3
4. FN2
5. FK2

I'd put the EK9 and EP3 pretty close to each other and the FN2 and FK2 pretty close to each other too.
