Is the Cayenne the best luxury performance SUV out there?
ОтветитьYuck on the inspired "Ipad" Dash and am absolutely turned off on the digital gauges! Give me a beautifully designed analog instrument cluster like that's in my 958.2. and leave the iPad screens for the electric cars.
Ответить`There is only one answer indeed: and it is that this is not a Porsche... maybe a Porsky...but not a Porsche. It continues to be a shameless call on greed and a betrayal of what Porsche once was: a sports car company...not anymore. Not even strategically this company is sound today: racing programs (?) which are a total disaster, now discounting its domestic appliances that it can't sell in addition to the struggles it is facing in the replacement of the Boxster / Cayman range (sod off the silly 7 something marketing gimmicks) where, because it doesn't know what to do with it, it has left the whole range stuck in a rut of total agony
ОтветитьWere you ever able to compare with a base suspension (PASM only and no air)? Did the Air actually ride better?
ОтветитьSadly the previous model looked better inside and out. Passenger display is good but that’s about it unfortunately. Gearstick MIA and no central analog tachometer. What were they thinking ?
ОтветитьAnyone with eyes can see it's piece of s**t. A big ugly box on wheels. Why not go all the way and have even sharper edges everywhere ?! Great own goal to Porsche. Watch the sales tank.
ОтветитьScreens - no.
Buttons - yes.
Are car makers listening? No, because it's cheaper than physical buttons.
Especially in a 'driver's car', continually using screens is dangerous, and annoying.
That digital cluster 🤮🤮🤮
Ответитьyou couldn't be more wrong about having the cruise-control switches on that stalk underneath the steering wheel; it's absolutely horrible, as a multiple-Porsche owner who has constantly found them horrendous on long road trips over the years. No other automaker does that, for good reasons. They belong on the steering wheel, full stop, like virtually every other automaker does it. On the steering wheel, they are illuminated so that you can see them at night. On the stalk, you can't see the controls day or night, and you have to figure it all out when stopped and the car is in park, and then go from memory. There's nothing intuitive about Porsche's controls-on-a-stalk design for activating and using cruise control; it's a huge brain fart in the design team of Porsche.
ОтветитьSurprised that this SUV does not come with a flat-bottomed steerng wheel. My 2020 Audi Q3 has one, and you don't know how helpful this is until you have it. When you enter/exit the car, your thighs don't touch the steering wheel
Ответитьeksterijer je ok ali interijer je velik korak unazad
Ответитьlooks little like Urus
ОтветитьWhy no GTS anymore ?
Ответить*coughs in 2023 Range Rover sport 😅
ОтветитьI had Cayenne 10 years ago. It did everything I needed of it, but was about £50k …. Not sure 10 years later I’d pay twice the price…. Indeed, I haven’t and ordered a Range Rover Vogue….
ОтветитьSuch a beautiful refresh. I’m going to get the Coupe E Hybrid when my Tesla MYP lease is up.
ОтветитьIt’s not very attractive though is it?
ОтветитьYou have not been in a Taycan? You dont know that the interior is from Taycan? Not serious.
ОтветитьShould be priced to compete with other compact luxury SUV’s. (should be 20k less). And yes, its compact, not midsize. The Macan is sub-compact and should also be cheaper.
ОтветитьClick bait🤬
ОтветитьThe best suv in the world is bmw x5
Ответитьhaving watched so many reviews on this 'new gen' cayenne I found myself no longer a fan of the existing models. The exterior of the new ones are just more sleek, aggressive, mean, and elegant at the same time.
ОтветитьNot sure why Porsche went ahead and developed it's own HD matrix lights when Hella produces a much superior product as used by Mercedes and Audi ! 16,000 pixels vs 1.3 million
ОтветитьHow can you criticize that they swapped the v6 for a V8 in the S…cmon we want v8s
ОтветитьBeautiful content! Thank you very much.
ОтветитьNo android auto forget it I hate iPhones
ОтветитьThat dark green with yellow callipers 😍👌
ОтветитьExterior design is worse, losing a bit of the identity compared to the older ones.
ОтветитьThank you for great in depth review.
ОтветитьAdaptive cruise should be on the steering wheel as buttons, so much more intuitive and safer, the stalk type set up is old tech and cheap. Also the screens are luxe and modern.
ОтветитьAnother good review
ОтветитьPorsche club gb join it
ОтветитьWhen will Porsche click that spending a grand + to replace a headlight is not smart. Cars that only make sense to own under warranty - how does that support sustainability?
I love classic Porsche but am not a fan of the modern heavy (profitable) & over complex tanks from them or any one else.
So, key takeaway, stick with the non chavvy 9YA.
ОтветитьI understand how a luxury SUV may not be so much a step up among SUVs but as an alternative to a luxury sedan. The Cayenne continues to build on its considerable appeal. A couple of quibbles, though: The front end now looks boxier and heavier. I see how it emulates the redesigned — and smaller — Macan but at this scale it looks clunky, like a big lawn mower. Also, the push button engine START is a serious faux pas, full stop. It suggests that even Porsche themselves concede this SUV isn't "a real Porsche."
ОтветитьNot a fan of the styling inside or out. I will stick with my 958.2. Physical buttons> capacative touch or touch screen, ditto with analogue gauges vs a screen. I dont doubt that the chassis and drivetrain are an improvement over my Cayenne, but looks and operator interface matter a lot more than most enthusiasts want to admit and for me they are deal breakers here.
ОтветитьThis is the Best Cayenne yet..🤩😍
ОтветитьMaking away with buttons also makes away with cost. And looks it too. Glass panels everywhere. Porsche selling windows nowadays?
ОтветитьThe EV Macan and Cayenne are going to sell like crazy.
ОтветитьWhat about the base model V6 turbo?!
