Im about to get an app mock up together, should i go with figma or adobe xd? new to figma but know photoshop and illustrator.

Do we need Figma when we use Wordpress and Elementor ?

Is this a design and workflow tool exclusively? Where does the coding come in?

Is there any other good software like figma out there, for free? Something decent for freelancing

Can you create an iOS Icon Template for Figma? I have one for Sketch, but would love one for Figma. Would gladly pay a one-time fee.

So, almost 1 year later, did you give it another try? Been back and forth between Figma and Sketch and both have pretty good arguments for and against. Which one do you prefer?

Hi Jesse, some problem with the quality of video. Its extremely blur. Request you to please take a look. It was working perfectly fine till yesterday but today all of a sudden its completely blur.

I wonder when you're going to get your big break. Been putting out quality content for ages (just discovered your channel) and somehow you only have 8.8k (at time of writing) subscribers? Whaaaa?

I have been testing opinions for a week as I want to jump into photo design and i wanted to skip Adobe, which on the other hand not being a designer by profession is by itself one of the most challenging task for non experts. And i want to focus in creating beautiful images not become a professional graphic designer and take my rest of life on the task. Awesome video. Just found out about Figma today and was able to play around with it for a short while. I have one major pain point: I turned off wifi and I can't use the desktop software.

As someone who's always on the go, sometimes I work without any access to wifi. Having to plan ahead and open documents I'd like to work on while having wifi is quite bad. I hope Figma will address this, otherwise it's quite solid and definitely a serious new contender to Sketch.

It make sense that you can not insert the same component from the library, you logged in in the browser and you had the same document as the document in the desktop app, and was updating it in realtime in both docs. IT said to duplicate it, so i suppose you can copy and paste it from the document directly and create an instance of the component.

Awesome video! We're thinking of giving Figma a try after some projects with ridiculous deadlines are done. This video certainly helped me to get a good "first launch" impression! :)

Just gotta convince my co-worker who hasn't moved away from PS because he's been using it for over a decade now. He's really fast, but I feel lack of collaboration being a problem for us in the future. Figma should help us build those design systems and make our work flow more efficient (although I saw some issues in your demo with it).

I think you missed out on one of the most powerful tools. reusable interface elements are possible with Components. similar to Sketch's Symbols, but on steroids. you can create instances of Components with minor changes in text and color. think, button states, and modal windows.

the UX is a bit odd tho. Components are not stored in a "page" like sketch, they live in the document. i tend to create an artboard with all my component parents and just reference it for changes. look for the create component button in the top of the screen when you have something selected

Great overview and review. agreed on the library thing. im still stumped on that one and i've been using Figma for a few months.

The next revision will be adobeXD? I think variety in design tools is good, force them to improve, nice review, regards from spain
