ОтветитьMy dad was an early subscriber to XM and was able to get one of their lifetime subscription packages that they don’t sell anymore. He got an external radio cause it was not yet in his car at the time. I now have that subscription in my 2021 Bronco and I still use SiriusXM frequently. They put our music way before it hits regular radio and I love no commercials
Ответитьthose lower-case "i"s in XM are bothering me
ОтветитьI subscribed for Howard Stern...hey nowwwwww
ОтветитьWhere did the dog go?
ОтветитьI've only been in older cars so I haven't experienced satellite radio until last year. It's cool but I don't spend enough time in car to justify it.
ОтветитьI dont know if you made a video on this but autozone vs o rielys
ОтветитьHey nowwwww Baba Booey.
ОтветитьI got rid of satellite in 2014 when OandA went down. I wont give them another penny.
ОтветитьApple Music laughing r, who dafuq pays for this shit
ОтветитьWas never a fan of any type of radio, always had my own stuff that I listened to in the car.
ОтветитьPersonally its only worth for those who drive a lot and outside the major cities where you cannot use your data/phone. They're likely still around due to partnerships with automakers
ОтветитьI love my siriusxm. I started with just xm in 2003 then got a sirius subscription a little later until they merged as one company.
ОтветитьThey have a Grateful Dead channel so I like
ОтветитьSirusXM is a SCAM and a RIPOFF , they have taken far too much money from me and I'm going to CANCEL ! Every one gets a different price depending on how good of a Negotiator you are . TOTALLY UNFARE !
ОтветитьI had it when I bought my new car, but really do not see the need for it when I can use my phone to play music, use free apps for traffic, or music. Like cable I don’t need all those channels for something I would never watch or listen to.
ОтветитьI'm legit surprised that SiriusXM is still around. I'm guessing Howard Stern is a big reason but even then I am surprised. I had satellite radio from 2007-2012 and while I liked it I found I was just streaming music, audio books and podcasts more and more from my phone to the point that I just cancelled by SiriusXM subscription. Howard Stern did keep me streaming a bit longer than I would've but when he quickly lost his edge and I checked out on his show.
ОтветитьI was an original XM subscriber in November 2001 and have maintained my subscription since then. I have enjoyed the service with the commercial free music especially when traveling across the country. Once the merger occurred, the service has improved greatly with all of the sports leagues and a wider variety of music. I'm not even a Stern fan so that is not the reason why I have kept my subscription.
ОтветитьMy mom had XM satellite when Sirius had a competitor. XM Satellite was way better. Sirius XM doesn’t not give. Suite 62 , The City and 20 on 20 were my favorite stations
ОтветитьSirius is the brightest star, but the brightest object in the night sky is Venus.
Ответитьme, upon finding this: "you mean theyre not one company?"
after: "...oh. they technically are."
I've been a subscriber for several years now and I love my siriusxm
ОтветитьI had a free 3 month subscription loved it. However I only used it via the new app via I Phone the first two months was awesome and was willing to support paying for a subscription after the trial offer. However there was an issue with there app towards the end of my free trial offer. I reloaded the entire app all the trouble shooting etc. My I phone was brand new even called customer service but there app would not function. No other app would act like this before or since. I ended up canceling my subscription as if your app is not functioning properly on a brand new I phone then I am not going to pay for your service. I also noticed that some of the rap stations would censorship all of Eminem and any song that had swears which I noticed Spotify does not do that and you can have a free subscription with ads. I really liked the ELVIS and Neal Diamond channel on Sirius but if your app does not function your not getting my money.
ОтветитьI have been a subscriber since XM and Sirius were split. I think I got my first sub back in 2002, and still sub to this day. I do not do podcasts but I also sub to Apple Music (via Apple One). I love the channel variety personally. A huge plus was the addition of the streaming app, which I use all the time at work, but while in my car I use the built in sat radio. Best thing is, they are VERY bendable when it comes to renewing a sub. For a few years now I have been able to get 5mo/$25 deal (including streaming), and have been using that over and over again. Maybe being a subscriber for as long as I have been helps, but its a good deal for me. It was huge for me back when most cell companies had data caps, and streaming music would easily blow through it.
ОтветитьI could MARRY HIM! AUTOMAKERS?

They later merged as SiriusXM.
ОтветитьThis guy sounds both bored and astonished by every sentence he speaks.
ОтветитьMONOPOLY
ОтветитьMost people don't pay for SiriusXM. You get the free trial, then when you cancel, they'll give you 6 months free and it just keeps going.
ОтветитьHad it, got tired of the DJ's talking so long between songs about how SiriusXM had no commercials and to check out other channels... so a commercial. Plus about 40% of the time it was filler tracks that the artists just threw in to complete an album and had no commercial or critical viability. As soon as I could I jumped ship to Google Play, then they shut down now I have Spotify. I really like spotify and dont see a time when I would get rid of it.
ОтветитьI have my subscription for Octane . If I was someone who didn’t want to discover new music and was set in my ways of just listening to stuff from a bunch of decades ago I would only have Spotify as I already would know all the songs I would want to play
ОтветитьAs a semi trucker it's definitely a must as there large parts of the country with low no cell service or radio channels change constantly, also they have sports and news and political talk radio (love to stay up to date out here) and iv never really had a problem with them and the cost is very little for haveing a crap ton of music channels with no commercials. And also they do broadcast some live music events like the one the dose it the most the the grand ol Opry. So ya I like it
ОтветитьSirius XM or Sirius and XM had nothing to offer to me and I'm sorry Howard Stern is not a disc jockey a disc jockey plays music he doesn't play music he just talks as far as I know. A DJ beat syncs them together that's what a DJ does he/she beat sync the songs together and when I mean beat sync meet they blend together without you noticing that there's a change in the song Until the vocals start in the next song
ОтветитьO&A party rock
ОтветитьTo anyone wondering, Sirius’ internal issues were mostly related to debt. By 2001, they were over $800 million in debt, all of which was taken out to set up the damn service to begin with. And then there was a hostile takeover bid. It was just a fucking mess.
ОтветитьChristmas music
Ответитьit works for me as I live away from towns. The standard radio is ok but does not cut it when in remote areas as I am in the majority of the time.
ОтветитьI, have dish since 4/16/22 I get SiriusXM satellite radio channels.”
I listen to Prime Country on channel 99-58 it’s amazing!! I also got the SiriusXM app on my iPhone I listen to Prime Country, I have to say the local FM stations are a big pile of poo poo!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 they’ll play the same thing over and over again for a hour. And you got to sit through so many commercials!! What a waste of my time I could be listening to SiriusXM on my TV. OR on the SiriusXM app on my iPhone!! I Love SiriusXM!! 🫶🏻🤗🤗🤗🤗
sirius is terrible company ? why it is so hard to cancel the service ?
ОтветитьYou listen to what someone plays on the radio. I prefer to determine what I listen to and when. Unless I’m in a place without streaming, I don’t see how radio should cost. Howard stern is armpit of radio, yuck!
ОтветитьEven tho I barely listen to different channels on sxm I like hip hop nation the heat and flex 2K and I subscribed in late 2023 for the travel link
ОтветитьI was an early subscriber to XM (before the merge) Radio. I loved the commercial free music! I CANCELLED my XM subscription when they hired DJs to talk talk talk talk TALK between the songs. The DJs, and the TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, guarantee that I will NEVER again subscribe to Serius XM Radio. Pandora is a far better option for me!
ОтветитьGreat video again. I'd love to see you look into the competition between the WWF and WCW and their eventual merger in the late 90s and early 2000s. Lots of great material there.
ОтветитьI had XM in the 2000s lifetime subscription $400. XM had more music than SIRIUS but I’m sure the Chevron Doctrine is gonna change that in the next couple years. I have 4 radios SIRIUS XM and pay 5.99 a month. No complaints here.
ОтветитьHey, Company Man. Can you please do a Bigger Than You Know video on Berkshire Hathaway?
ОтветитьI was an original customer of XM....bought the equipment in 2001 and had to wait until Nov 2001 for activation...been a customer ever since (23 years as of 2024) Only real problem is cancelling subscriptions on old radios or on installed radios in cars that I've sold. Good luck with that! Get ready to spend quality time listening to hold music or deal with a rep whose 1st language is not English. Was not happy with the quality of the content after the merger. I've adjusted.
