The reason to go with a projector of any kind, including UST, is because you want the immersive size more than you want the absolute crispiest black level. I'd take a 120 inch projected image from an UST projector all day every day over a 77 inch OLED TV. That's literally twice the surface area, and you can't replace the impact of sheer physical size of the image for movies. Also, arguably dealing with a ginormous TV is a pain. They're absolutely massive, you can't transport one yourself without a van and a helper or two. For watching the news, get a small TV. For watching movies, get to 120 inches any way you can. For most of us, spending the six figures for a TV that can do that isn't realistic.

if you're impressed by that unit, I suggest you look at the AWOL VISION 3500. It will literally smoke that like it's a toy I'm playing on 150 inch 3500 but I'm only using a 120 inch a ALR floor rising screen, much more convenient movable self tensioning in the AWOL 3500 is much brighter has much deeper color and much better contrast and I'll guarantee you it has less lag than any projector you'll ever try in the future try 9 ms. I have a few videos of me playing Gran Turismo on my page if you want to take a look.

i don't car how many times people say it......projectors look awful if your room
has any kind of light inside it. with light in the room, the picture always looks
cloudy and foggy and anyone including linu that says anything different is
straight up lying to you!!!...this video is about a year or 2 old but even newer
projectors can't reproduce a picture as good as a tv in daylight!!!!!!!

You guys should consider including Robin Robin from Netflix as a part of your test movies. Looking at the speculor highlights from virtually any indoor scene help help to show how sharp and accurate your image is!

Why don't they make contained versions of these like CRT-style? It would be really bright, and probably a lot lighter than a CRT too. Maybe it just can't compete with cost of LED techs at that smaller size.

looks like the projectors we have everywhere in schools in france
except that here, the projector sits right on top of the screen/white borad, probably isn't 4K(and even if it was the workstations the teachers use would probably not be able to output that) and it's actually an interractive projector which means we have pens with a white tips, on black cones, with white handles, that are detedted by the projector and you can draw things with
either on the projectors own virtual white borad, or on top of stuff you're projecting from your PC which is cool
and you can switch between both pretty quickly
you can also control stuff on the PC which is cool and probably many other functions we don't use in class
We always have that EPSON interactive projector, I think it's the EB-685Wi

It's not an Android TV-powered projector, just to be clear. The reason it's called the "Android TV edition" is because it is literally the same as the non-Android TV edition, just with an Epson-branded Android TV-powered Roku stick in the box. This explains the two remotes: one's for the Roku stick, the other is for the projector itself.

I love how he used the gloves for everything except the screen… which was the only thing he was suppose to use the gloves for.

Can you review the BenQ x3000i? It’s being touted as a gaming projector. Should be bright enough to have good 3D.

Smart projectors like Epson, Nebula and XGIMI are easy to set up and good for eye health, I'd definitely choose a projector over a TV.

I bought this setup, but a 106 UST projector screen. I love it :D

Those tools are for stretching the springs easily. Without them Linus probably stretched the springs more than necessary, making it that much more difficult to get the screen aligned
