Suffering since 2 months.. recovering day by day... Last 3 days completely normal...

What I followed is..

1. Elimination gluten and Sugar
2. Gentle Yoga
3. Pranayam
4. 35 mins walk...

Day by day I feel I am improving a little bit..

Dear IBS community, have you ever observed if we are in hurry or if we are supposed to complete any target in time may it be simple cooking or any simple task in time... Due to even simple worry our stomach contracts. And doesn't feel like relax stomach... We have to observe this very carefully,....I think this is the reason.. it starts feeling abnormal,..

For that meditation, stressfree no time bound commitment, slow and peaceful working style.. rhythmic pattern of breathing is very necessary to keep brain gut in sync..

I had this IBS 3 YEARS BACK resolved in 2 months then again 1 year back... Again resolved in 1 month and now since last 2 months... Resolving slowly .. since last 3 days....❤

It is a functional somatic disorder. Not to say its 100% psychological, but the evidence is pretty clear now that its around stress and pain centralization.

Suffering From IBS Since Childhood, Now Turned 27. SCHOOL,COLLEGE,NOW @JOB i'm Daily Facing the issue. Its a battle With Life & IBS. Consulted Few Doctors ..they Have given some Probiotic tablets And Some Antipasmodic Effect Tablets.. worked for a few days but aftet some more days thing went back .. And Finally Consultted A Homeopath , Homepathy Really helped to manage IBS For Upto 80% The frequency to go toilet After Every Meal Stopped. Not Fully, But Things were Ok .I Hope if Anyone Consulted Some Modern Medicine Doctors and if they were Not able to Fix or Reduce the Illness within 1 month..Try to Find A Good Homepathy Doctor. Currently I am not Taking Homeopathy Medicine,But i need to Restart the Treatment .Why i have stopped Homeopathy was while i was going on with the Medication my Symptoms improved i though everything Became Normal..but in Homeopathy if we need to get the Full benefits we need to continue the Medicines for 1-3 years. IBS cannot be Cured With a Short span of Time or With A course of Antibiotic Or Anyother Medicine. UNFORTUNATELY finding A Doctor Is More Difficult for Treating IBS , More Clearly One Who specialised in Treating IBS. Finding A Doctor Who Cured Any One Patient suffering from IBS Will Be A Great Choice For Consulting.

I am a 62yr old female who had a normal bowel movement within 15 minutes of waking in the morning. I love to cook and eat all types of food. I have never had any issues at all. At the end of July 2023 I decided to quit drinking alcohol. It became a daily habit for approx. 2 years. I never had bowel issues previous to quitting. My doctor perscribed clonidine 0.1 mg q 12 hrs, Cabamazepine 200mg q12 hrs, Naltrexone 50mg qd. 3 days after quitting booze I began having black diarrea x3-4 times a day I have discontinued the Naltrexone & Carbamazepine and my symptoms have not improved. It makes me want to start drinking again. The pain is a 8/10, with bloating. Calling my medical team today 8/31/23! Im sick of it. Yes I am anxious and depressed. Ive always been healthy as a horse. My BM's have always been "PERFECT". WISH ME LUCK,,,,,,,,

My theory is that more women have IBS than men is that our bowels, like children are more delicate and sensitive to foods which contain toxins from pesticides, sugar which is in 'everything, glyphosate. There was no bowel problems in my childhood days but many children have problems with their bowels, such as my grandchild. I've had IBS for over 30 years and I've always ate healthily. Nothing I received from doctors have helped me. Codeine helped with pain but constipation.

OMG! Why i just saw this vid (though i subscribed here)? Been seeing docs for the past years but only recently (who was a gen. Med. Doc) told me about IBS. He didnt explain to me further but he said “i think what you have is IBS-constipation”. I didnt see any doc after that. I wanted to see him again for the check up but couldnt get a sched with him (in this country hard to get an appointment with doc in public hospital. Needed to wait like 3-4 months before u get an appointment and not sure if u will have the same doc). And gotcha! I saw this vid and voila! I learned a lot! Everything about IBS! Thank you so much, Dr. James! God bless you and your fam!❤❤❤

This was useful. I did got to the doctor earlier and all she said that I should just avoid dairy. I didn't understand why she just wanted me to diagnose myself. She didn't bother to send off for any blood tests. I don't understand why she just assumed that I should self diagnose myself. I have relations who are Jewish and I have an aunt who had bowel cancer. However, I think it is Lactose intolerant mainly but I am getting so much pain if I accidently eat something 'wrong' and I have had extremely painful cramps and sweating/fever. One time it was so bad I was told to go to hospital but I had no car to get there at night. I had it today, but with the sweating and fever it makes me feel afraid I will die of pain, even though IBS isn't supposed to be life threatening. I am going to the doctor in 2 weeks time and I hope that I can get some kind of test or medications if I have sudden cramps.

I've had IBS and sibo for the last 5 years with all the symptoms but with no solutions from doctors.

Now I have developed hyper salivation in my
mouth. I went to see an oral surgeon and he basically told me I was exaggerating and it was all in my head. So now I guess I'm stuck with another problem.

I've had ibsd since kindergarten, and I'm turning 65 next week. I was constantly being sent home from school. My mom was chronically constipated and always told me to be glad that I could go, but she didn't understand that the going never stopped. I have found that keeping a food/emotion diary is helpful to spot trends. This is how I learned that chocolate triggered migraines. Still, I haven't found anything helpful for the ibsd. I tend to get dehydrated since I avoid fluids when traveling or knowing I'll be far from a toilet. And, I tend to just not eat. Food hurts, so I avoid it. Then the dr says I'm anorexic, but I'm not and he doesn't get it either. No dr does, so far.

With first-hand experience, I can tell you the theory of hypersensitivity is wrong.
But the link between IBS and fibromyalgia is interesting, because the same things that may cause fibromyalgia can cause IBS. One example is oxalate-rich food. If you’re sensitive to oxalates and eat much of food rich in them you may experience both IBS and fibromyalgia. Examples: spinach, potatos, rice, kiwis. Ditto for lectin-rich food, like grains and legumes. The problem is not hypersensitivity, but low capability to get rid of the toxins of these foods.

I was diagnosed 30 years ago ibs nothing worked except, food allergy testing, answer dairy sensitive, oat sensitive , elimination of most these foods was my solution, goat milk , easy digestion. No nuts , no grains. Symptoms relieve , not cure but comfort . I hope this helps, as my symptoms were endless suffering. Bless you should u try, bless u should it work.

I like Dr Gray's style of delivery of information. He is not uptight about the subject in describing function, anatomy, etc and that is really appreciated. THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS VIDEO!
