For those thinking it doesn’t look that tough: this is NOT Russian elite special forces training in the sense of the SAS or navy seals etc. This is basic Spetz Naz selection training as Spetz Naz have many different roles and types of troops. Spetz Naz means ‘special purpose’ and they different Spetz Naz units do different roles, some are just higher grade infantry, others are vehicle specialists, others are police roles…..the equivalent of proper special forces such as the SAS is the Spetz Naz GRU, who ARE trained to an extremely high standard and it takes around 4 years from joining as a recruit to become a GRU operator. This video is basically the base line selection and training to enter ‘special purpose’ forces, and from then on the soldiers receive more specialist training in which ever unit they signed up for. Some will only train for another 6 months for less skilled roles, and others will train for another 3 years to become elite SF units. Also for certain Spetz Naz units you can join straight from being a civilian, which is why this training is pretty similar to basic boot camps, they just have higher fitness standards and more tests than the regular army, before more specialised training follows!!

I did a certificate course from Siberian Federal University in Russian language (A0 Level)
I wish to join Spetsnaz but don't know how learn Russian and join from India.
I wish the Russian government provided guidance and help.

This is completely toned down, looks more like a boot camp for regular army and even then way too soft. Spetnaz training is known to be brutal with systematic beatings and with even deaths...

Just like all special forces training they only show up the basic training, but never the really good stuff, due to it being classified.

In the American Army every one wears the red beret. it has no special meaning there it is only a fashion statement. in Spetsnaz it is a symbol of greatness a symbol of hard work a symbol of true spirit.
