L.A. Reid should stick to critiquing R&B artists. The guy is a legend in the music industry, no doubt about it, but he's not known as a hip hop producer. Maybe what he said pushed Kanye to do better though. He wasn't the strongest rapper at that time and even struggled with writer's block after his first album.

Finally! Someone talks about that moment Stack Bundles and Kanye were in the same room.. Stack Bundles was one of the greatest rappers from Queens who never made it cause his life was taken from him. Sometimes people criticise Kanye for being arrogant, but if he didn't believe himself, he wouldn't pursue the things he loves, like fashion and rapping. Also he wants people to belive in themselves too, and he thinks outside the box, and has released multiple classic albums, and is an influential figure in hip hop, and still takes creative risks. With other rappers, their music can become more and more safer and predictable. Unlike Kanye. He helps people, feel like they can do the things they want too. He is one of the most important artists there is. Crazy to think, if he listened to people back then, he wouldn't be where he is today, I'm beyond glad he didn't.
