I had been diagnosed couple of days ago and today will be my first day I will be taking the pill. I found your channel right now and I'm feeling better and hopeful after being miserable since the results. Its always in my head and my thoughts are running crazy. I'm so scared right now I had an HIV Test yesterday and am having to wait now for the results that will be the end of this week. I havent been having risky encounters but I slept with my ex gf a couple weeks ago and now am having problems with my tongue and throat. I'm so scared that I havent ate in 3 days. Prayers needed please.

I just got my diagnose yesterday and I almost fainted. I know it is not a death sentence and that luckily I will get free treatment on a public clinic, but I'm still scared and feeling horrible about it. I don't want to tell anyone but this is going to make me feel even more lonely than I already did. Thank you for your video, this kind of soothes me and well let's hope there's no secondary effects on my treatment.

I might have been exposed but didn't take pep in time. Now i have to wait 3 months to truly remove the possibility of having been infected.

One thing I'm curious to know about is, 'what is dating like for someone with HIV/AIDS?' cause I could only imagine people might have a phobia of dating someone with an "incurable disease" like this.

Does having a swollen lymph node behind my ear means HIV?it's been there 3 weeks and hasn't improved stayed the same size

I had a male coworker who was always crying and he was always had this dry cough, he did not speak english, so he needed to set up an appointment with an specialist doctor, he gave the paper work he was given, but to set up the appointment they needed to know if his test were positive or negative. otherwise they could not make the appointment. he broke down and told me he was positive, and he had been thinking about self deleting his existance. because of all the stigna associated with HIV.
he was affeminate, but his wife had just died of breast cancer, so I though he cryed because of it. Anyways, we were blue collar workers, but I am not ignorant, I have always researched about HIV and other STDs because one of my uncles died from AIDS. so I told him that it would be ok, medicine is advanced, and he will have a normal life, yadda yadda, and I hugged him (it was a strategic hug, cold and calculated sure) to show him that he was still human. he said that forced hug actually saved him and that he no longer thinks about quitting the heartbeat, and he calls me every now and then.

I was just diagnosed yesterday and I’m scared… not of the health. They explained to me very well how far medical help has come but of the possible stigma I’ll face from family and friends. It’s just hard to deal with right now. I am grateful to know and to be alive though.

I’m waiting to be tested for HIV after a month on PEP. I finished the PEP 2 weeks ago and believe over the past 24 hours I’ve got the HIV flu. Feel terrible and distraught. Good to see someone doing so well with their diagnosis. Take care
