I have watched this show countless times and I gotta agree, this is a perfect episode

Yachi is a girl written for some girls to identify with, it's so rare to see that in Shounens. That's why Haikyuu is my comfort anime, there's no way not to identify with one of these amazing characters.
And cheers to my Hinata and his emotional intelligence. Just like with Aone he knows how to treat each person the way they feel most comfortable. I love him so much

Probably one of my favorites from season 2. Yachi is a treasure and I'm so glad she was added to the show. Also, just like Tanaka and Nishinoya point out, Kiyoko talks more when Yachi is around. While a bit on the nose, its great because it allows her character to get fleshed out more too, which I think was desperately needed compared to her first season self.

I hope at some point you consider Ping Pong the Animation. Its a very short series but I know with how you appreciate the characters and emotions in Haikyuu that Ping Pong would be one of your favorites. I'm sure of it

I would not call her parenting "wrong", or necessarily bad.

I think her goal was to put some physiological barriers so her daughter could overcome them and become stronger (which she did with the help of Hinata).


It is true that this can backfire though, so as much I would not advertise for this type of parenting (I think that taking a neutral instance is better), I can understand it.
