For the men Aug24 will be a wake up call. UBER mile away from the medal spots. This is why Galen was special he could mix at international level.

Fiona to medal in Aug24 is a stretch. with ET rise in women's marathon they are hungry and absolutely talented. US won bronze due to the lack of ET women. Aug24,its different.

I watched the whole event on Peacock. Lots of plot twists in both the men's and women's races. I subscribed last year for the swimming world championships. Gotta have Peacock for this Olympic year.

Young clearly let Mantz win, right at the end he just waved him first to the line. Young could have won this race , he was full of run while Mantz was hurting.

These guys are meant to be knowledgible about running, aren't they? Everyone knows the time of the start of this Marathon Trial was based on conditions expected in Paris at the Paris start time. The aim was to mirror the Paris expected conditions to make the race a "fair trial" for the Olympics.
Also, why are these coaches constantly talking about obsolete "Mile" times. The race is 42.2 kilometers.
Everything should be listed in Kms, not miles. These guys are outdated.
The requirements to make the USA Olympic team in Marathon have been well known for some time. Why these guys are debating qualification criteria is just ridiculous. It is what it is. Being a "real" race (meaning, no official pacemakers) allows for a person to do whatever they think best to enable them to win or place. The fact that someone led or pushed the pace for 21 (miles, about 33/34 kms) simply meant he thought that was his best chance of qualifying. Yes, it could be seen to be a kamikazi move but, who knows, it might have worked.

Good call out on Fauble. The nerves got the best of him.

Your comments regarding Scott Fauble were rude and classless. Unless you KNOW all the details about how/why/what regarding his sickness and having to drop out you should keep your derogatory comments to yourself. If I were him, I'd never give you another interview other than maybe a distinct "Eff off". This is why LR has so many haters.

The whole 10 am start it should of started earlier like 8 am. They just streamed it live then showed it on TV at 12. I mean it helps Peacock streams.

Now Fauble needs to go to Boston and take top 5 to unlock 3rd US spot.
