I'm not sure I understand your aversion to credit cards. I pay mine off every month, so I don't have to pay any interest or fees, but I get 6% back on groceries, 3% back on gas and travel, 2% back on eating out, and 1% back on everything else. That's hundreds of dollars in my pocket every year. And you can set up your payments to be automatically linked to your checking account, so you don't forget. Of course, you have to budget for all your purchases, but that goes without saying.
ОтветитьBe very careful using third party sites to book airline tickets. If you’re determined to book with them, always read the fine print and know what you’re getting. Often if you’ve booked on these sites and any of your flights go sideways, you have little to no protection for necessary re-bookings, etc. And we all know how bad weather or a short mechanical delay can throw a big ol’ monkey wrench into a day of traveling.
As someone who works in aviation, I can say that the best way to book is directly thru the official site of the airline you want to travel on. You’re spending a little more now for the peace of mind that comes from knowing a delay isn’t going to be a big headache for you-and likely a bigger expense also.
This guy is a clown
ОтветитьThank you for the information Georgey. I put in my notes. Big help
ОтветитьI save huge by going to Delaware instead of Fiji where my wife wants to go.
ОтветитьYou’re a lot better on your own show, like a thousand times better. Took me a while to like your content
ОтветитьShoulderseasons are called shoulders seasons due to the fact that not a complete country has vacation. In the Netherlands the country is divided into 3 regions (Upper, middle and lower). Each region has the same amount vacation time but schools vacations start depending on the region. In high season all regions have vacation while in the shoulderseason only 1 region already or still has vacation. I don't know if other countries do the same but this is how the Netherlands does it.
Ответить"Shoulder season" because of you look at a bell curve, there is a "peak" travel season spring/summer, and then 2 "shoulders" on either side of the peak
ОтветитьDrop off your clothes at a laundromat before your flight home. This way, when you pack, all your clothes will be neatly folded and clean, saving you the hassle of doing laundry once you get home. An added bonus is you won't have to travel with a suitcase full of dirty and smelly clothes.
ОтветитьGreat job and excellent tips!
ОтветитьCan you share momma Kamel’s hummus recipe? 😊
ОтветитьI’ll come back to these when hubs and I finally get a flight getaway without the kiddos….might be 20 years 😂 jk. In all serious, we usually drive. So much beauty to see on the way too! But sometimes a flight would be needed.
ОтветитьI skip on the rental car expense anytime I can choose a hotel with free shuttle service to and from the airport. Then I plan all my adventures to be walking distance from the hotel. I walk a lot anyway.
Ответить“This is a case for Wishbone.” 😂
ОтветитьAdvice straight out of the 1970s.
ОтветитьAmazing❤️🙌Being able to provide all my needs without the help of the Government is really a dream come through and I’m getting $50,000 returns from my 10k investment, Glory to the everlasting God almighty.
ОтветитьGK does not travel much, hence the not so good hacks. Turo??? Most unreliable enterprise. If the person does not show up, you are out of luck with your debit card trying to rent a car in the last minute (your family is tired after a long trip; kids are screaming and you have no car !!!!) Please advise which car rental companies you recommended that accept a debit card. (Dollar was a DR advertiser, now their debit card policy is outrageous)
ОтветитьSuccess seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make Mistake but they don’t quit... As the economic crisis keep rising, we literally need to have different streams of income. ОтветитьShoulder is like a synonym for edge, edge of summer or winter
ОтветитьMy ultimate travel hack gets me free vacations and extra travel perks every year from my normal, everyday spending, but the Ramsey Solutions Team refuses to admit that it exists.
ОтветитьThe Security check thing is so true. My wife and I went to the right in BWI, and we were in line for 30 minutes with basically no one in line.
ОтветитьDon’t tell everyone about TSA PreCheck lol 😂then the lines will be crazy 😢
ОтветитьI am really loving all your videos George. Keep em coming
ОтветитьCan also check bags at the gate with most of the major carriers and are typically free.
ОтветитьEvery wonder why CC companies reward you with flyer miles? Because people tend to spend 20-30% more when on vacation or on business travel
ОтветитьI think George is the future of the Ramsey brand. Allocating resources to repackaging the Ramsey teachings into something more engaging and visually impressive will give Ramsey a broader audience and at the end of the day enable more people to achieve financial freedom. Appreciate this new endeavor George, keep it going!
ОтветитьLove your advice and delivery George!
Ответитьwe need part two of this!!!
ОтветитьShoulder season sounds like the time just outside of the busy summer season, before and after. Shoulder (April-May) Body (June-August) Shoulder (September-October)
ОтветитьI would never rent out my personal car to strangers. Most people have car payments. If they wreck your car it’s a hassle. Also if you don’t tell your insurance company you renting out your car as a side hustle they might not cover or r reimburse your claim. They normally don’t like you using your car for business without paying extra premium. DONT DO IT
ОтветитьGeorge's favorite 2 words:
Delta skymiles
😂
I like traveling with credit card points.😂 Some travel credit cards come with TSA/Global entry credit.
ОтветитьHmmmmm. Sorry George you Need to redo this video with Rachel Cruze! Because moms know all the hacks.
1. Pack granola bars ( do NOT pay for airport granola bars).
2. Pack lots of snacks
3. Eat free food at the hotel if available
4. Google the rules of the places you are going to (If you can take your own PBJ inside Disney do it, this will save you $200 in food expenses)
5. If you are staying at a place with a washer and dryer you can save money on luggage by packing a small ziplock bag of laundry detergent.
6. If you are renting a house you can cook some of your own food at the place you are visiting to save on restaurant fees.
7. Make a packing list. A lot of my expenses throughout the years have been having to buy more sunscreen, deodorant, swimsuits because somebody forgot theirs from last year didn't fit. And sometimes we are in places where those things are expensive.
I absolutely LOVE this! 🎉🎉🎉😊
ОтветитьWhen you search you definitely have to clear your cookies or search in incognito mode so its not tracked. Also, southwest if you search for 1 ticket versus multiple, more often than not, the individual one is cheaper. Also keep checking rates because if they go down within 24 hours you get cash. If more than 24 hours you get travel credit.
ОтветитьI love to travel so this hits home for me. Thanks for the tips George!
ОтветитьWishbone!!! ❤️👏🤣
ОтветитьQuality travel packing cubes at discounted cost at Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Burlington and Ross or clearance centers.
ОтветитьExcellent content and editing magic! You’re pretty funny George! 😊
ОтветитьThanks for the tips! My personal favorite for flights is to take my anker charger block ,fully charged. So if my phone battery runs out I have a charge with me
