So, thinking outside the box...why not a winchester 1895 in 444 Marlin???? Yes, it's not "true" to the 1895, but neither are tang safeties and rebounding hammers..... 444 Marlin is found in virtually every decent gunshop in straightwall deer country..
Not everyone who buys one is trying to emulate Teddy Roosevelt.
