My dad was from minnesota and the timberwolves were the only minnesota team he refused to support at all. i didn’t care about sports so i completely forgot his reasoning other than management, but im pretty sure i found the reason now lol

It kills me that so many all-time greats stay on teams through their primes that don't put the necessary supporting cast around em, KG, AI, Melo, Barkley, Reggie Miller, Steve Nash, there's just a ton of killers on bad teams, teams that never were able to get that last piece, or teams that ran up against teams like the 3peat Bulls despite being close to peaking.

People now forget how passive Garnett was sometimes in Minnesota, he didn't really have that killer edge, and by the time he developed that a bit he was already in Boston winning for them

The reason their defense was worse was because olowakandi got hurt, he was a big presence inside in '04

because David Stern is a jackass, ripping away multiple draft picks and handicapping the franchise for years with one of the best players in the world on it....i know he tried to push KG to a West Coast or East Coast market by doing so. He eventually got his way when KG was traded to Boston.

That 04 roster wasn't a keeper. Sam and Latrell were aging stars. McHale banked everything on a win-now approach and that was a dumb thing to do when the powerhouse Lakers were around. Not to mention the high level of the Spurs and Kings at the time.

We may be seeing the new peak of the wolves... #1 seed currently (26-11), #1 defense in the NBA with anthony edwards arguably breaking through into a superstar, with KAT and rudy locking in... this team looking at it right now could have a limitless ceiling, Ant is him and the other two look way more comfortable being lower on the totem pole.

When we need that trade as the Celtics fan, for kg, I was hesitant thinking he was in the back nine of his career and at the time Celtics fans were very high on Jefferson and Ryan Gomes. Gomes was Draymond Green, a 6'7 tweener who could play defense rebound had good hands. Jefferson was a classic back to the basket post guy who was a double double every night. I never wanted to get rid of Jefferson, he was a 20 and 10 guy with a lot of upside. I knew once we brought in Allen, that we were going all in. I knew we were only going to have a few years and wished we would have gotten at least two, 2010 I believe was the year that should have taken our second but after that it all fell apart.

That was not a powerhouse but a one year team filled with aging players like Sprewell and Cassell. Also, why all the hate for Glenn Taylor in some of these videos? Ever heard of Carl Pohlad, the wealthiest MLB owner in 2001 who was willing to shutter his team for money from MLB. I don't see any videos about Pohlad.
