Not gonna lie I wasn't a huge fan of this one during the initial playthrough but after beating the boss rush in the DLC by the skin of my teeth I was practically screaming the lyrics. Good stuff.

Ir always feels so satisfying when you pull off that perfect sync. I did during my latest playthrough of the game.

Something I hear nobody talk about is how the boss music scales to portray Sonic as more and more of the villain as the game progresses, until the fights with Supreme and The End. This makes a lot of sense, as Sonic is really tearing down the island's defenses as he continues on his quest to save his friends. However, in the final fights, Sonic is portrayed completely differently because this time, he is saving the islands instead of destroying them. Another thing that may tie to this is that when the game first released, I saw a comment on a different upload of this song that noted that the rap parts are spoken by Sonic, and the sung parts are sung by Knight. This really fits the thing these fights are setting up, because the rap parts feel more about destroying Knight, while in the sung parts, Knight expresses its willing to valiantly fight with Sonic until its inevitable demise. Someone replied saying "Well, why would Knight be telling Sonic to find his flame? Why would Knight be motivating Sonic like this?" However, this makes a ton more sense when you consider Knight knows it's going to die, but it's not worried since Sonic is inevitably going to have to switch sides and battle The End. Knight also attempts to negotiate with Sonic, although clearly this doesn't work, in the parts where it shouts "we can save the day". Some notable points are Sonic saying that he'll decimate Knight when Sonic tells it "I'll turn you into rust", Knight beginning to express its upcoming demise near the end of the fight where it sings "Now here we go, it's the end of the show", Sonic denying any compromise where he spares Knight at the beginning, telling Knight he will not back down, no matter what, so it might as well just get out of his way, and Knight noting its destiny to be purely destroyed after watching Giganto and Wyvern fall. Just a small detail in these songs that I really enjoy.

This song fits better with Infinite.
