That skirt looks so warm and cozy. Great job! The fabrics you chose are beautiful. <3 I love the idea of flat lining a skirt. I've never done that before but your technique looks easy to do. This skirt seems perfect for winter! :D
ОтветитьLovely! That looks very toasty and I love the plaid.
ОтветитьLooking great!
ОтветитьLeggings, ya'll
ОтветитьWell sewn :)
ОтветитьCotton flannel panels, I love the rhyming. Also the sound of the scissors is very nice
ОтветитьGreat skirt it looks super comfy cozy. Question about tights though, what kind do you wear to avoid static cling with this skirt?
ОтветитьOoo, I have some wool that has been waiting for inspiration
ОтветитьSuch a cute skirt. 😊
ОтветитьGorgeous skirt!
I have started to have my waistband go over the plaquet as well. It looks less like gaping in the back and I could close with a button if I want to, or just hooks and eyes.
But that is just a suggestion, your skirt is very lovely as it is, and the cut of the skirt is so very flattering and beautiful!
I love the fabrics, even the lining! A really great idea to show the whole process of making things warmer. It doesn't have to be complicated, just requires a little extra work :D
ОтветитьBeautiful! I love the fashion fabric, the wool check is lovely. I'm going into my first winter with a wardrobe consciously made up of mostly skirts so I've been on the hunt for some winter skirt inspo.
Lining with flannel was something I hadn't thought of! Very sensible. I love a skirt that feels like you're wearing a blanket so I'm keen to use that trick!
You are so cute and fabulous
ОтветитьI like your content; the background music is distracting for me.
ОтветитьSorry to be negative, but I would have tried harder to match the plaid at the waistband. Also, I don’t think this video is particularly helpful in instructing the process of construction. Moves too fast, jumping from one technique to another, leaving the viewer behind. Sorry, I feel if you wish to create videos to teach sewing techniques, you need to be a teacher.
ОтветитьI made 2 skirts out of fleece this last fall and I love them! I call them blanket skirts! I bet your is even warmer!
how well do the snaps hold the skirt closed? I always use a zipper but snapps would amazing!
I think you are lovely.
Your skill and how you share it is really heartwarming to see.
I am a self trained, experienced seamstress, with a successful business.
As I am from SA where the weather is hot, I have worked mainly with lighter fabrics. I needed to research how a wide , wooll skirts would look, feel and fit.
I wanted to know it’s little quirks .
You covered them all with solutions :
Are they warm enough
Fullness
Matching plaids
Stretch in waistband- cause - solution …and more
thank you
🎉
Super cute. Great idea too.
Ответитьgorgeous skirt wow!! i love the lining and the bottom hem
ОтветитьCan you do this with 100% wool?
Ответитьinstead of hooks and eyes can I add a zipper?
