Ответитьhow can we make multiple user accounts like parallel space in windows private users like function in phone , i want to use a different fingerprint for every user that only i could know and nobody can find other user accounts that how many users are in laptop , sometimes we can see user profiles in settings but i want to hide every account even in boot or login page like it should be a secret window laptop irrespective of other user data or even folder , or apps or anything , i want to make private window data for me , and other user accounts some for work , office , management etc . that doesn't even should show that other user have made a folder or installed an app it shouldn't be seen in other user accounts, like in one laptop 2 or 3 different laptop (user) working privately that nobody can't find only i should know . i think i have explained to u correctly ?
please give me some solution. I can't find videos related to this . or i don't know how to search .
I really don't like this way. Messing with Windows' partition is unnecessary. Windows can later do whatever it wants on the EFI partition ie. completely nuke your Linux's boot partitions after forced update and more. And even more if you encrypt your system with for example VeraCrypt, I think even more problems would occur. Let Windows do its' things on its' partitions.
I always create new efi partition for Linux boot loader. This way it's much quicker, and safer.
Next is how to properly install MacOS 13 on KVM, please 🙏
Ответитьvery very thanks brother. this video is sos helpfuly and understandable for me. and your explain style is very good. i hope in future this channel is grove🎉
ОтветитьThanks for producing this video. I'm not using Ubuntu, but the instructions for getting the partitions reconfigured prior to starting to install the base system of your distro of choice is totally spot on and applies to any distribution. This video deserves far more updates that it has, I encourage everyone who finds this video useful to share/upvote so more people get to see it.
ОтветитьSo will this method bypass the Intel RTS portion? This is where my Ubuntu build is catching.
Ответитьi tried a thosand of times, but i keep getting grub-install: warning Cannot set EFI variable Boot0000. (win 11 24h2/ubuntu 24.04)
ОтветитьThnks
Everything is shown for dummies except how to save and exit configuration files.
This guide is great and you earned yourself a sub, but I had a lot of problems while trying to follow you doing the same with Fedora KDE (which is def not your fault, since this is about Ubuntu). I managed to fix my drives and their layout (which was screwed with multiple EFIs etc) and I have a proper dual-booting Linux now, which is awesome, so thanks for that.
Installing Systemrecovery was impossible, though, since enrolling a machine owner key works differently on Fedora (I assume? idk I got weird errors), it went completely over my head what you were doing and I just had no more focus left after hours of installing it and trying to combine it with your new Fedora guide (learning about btrfs and lots of other stuff, I'm new to Linux). So I have a few questions:
- Can you not just install the systemrecovery.iso on the free space we left for it using a USB stick? Why are we doing all of the key generating and copy pasting the iso contents just to resign them etc?
- Would Bazzite be a better starting point for me? I stumbled across it today while doing some more research and learning about how to replicate AMD Adrenaline for Linux (which is also a pain in the a and impossible, but different topic). I don't quite understand the limitations of atomic desktops and why people hate them so much. I guess Linux isn't as ready as I thought it might be for a daily work/gaming setup, but I would've loved to have it as my "basic" daily driver and system for gaming; while having windows as dual boot for engineering work (since that is fairly impossible on Linux) and for games that cannot work on Linux (anti-cheat problems in lots of games that I like to play).
- random bonus question since googling didn't help me so far: I have an audio interface (UMC204HD) which does not work when starting into Fedora, but works after I un-plug it and re-plug it. I don't even know where to start fixing it?
👍
ОтветитьThank you so much for making this video! This is a really great video because it demonstrates how to correctly partition the drive and enlarge the EFI partition. The problem I ran into before was that the EFI partition was too small (Microsoft does this deliberately) and Ubuntu could not be added to it.
Ответитьwhats the need about performing such a complex partition reorder? with ssd it's just not almost the same to install linux in the middle between C and recovery?
