The fox movies were a character assassination against cyclops. So was wolverine and the x men but you understand why he was a prick there. The og cartoon and now x men 97 and evolution are the best versions of cyclops so far.

Cyclops should have his own solo adventures without Mutants, Professor Xavier, Jean Grey, Emma Frost, and the X-Men. I was series him as just be a superhero.

Ok, I do have a bone to pick with Scott. And you even mentioned the even in your video. He sent his son to the future to save him. He didn't do that in the sense of self-sacrifice. My issue is that he walked out on his son during that event. He's a hollier than thou, self richious prick that, in the end, did the same thing to his son that his dad did to him. Everything else about the character be damned. He walked out and said, "I can't be a part of this," when his son was being sent to the future. Fuck Scott Summers.

Having said that, since YOU SPECIFICALLY made a video about him, I will watch.

Cyclops is one of the most complicated people in the marvel universe. The movies were a major injustice to Scott Summers.

I remembered when I watched that 1st episode of x-men 97. Bro was cool, a menace, a kid that never had a goal in life but dedicated its own life to one thing he has been devoured with, the x-men himself. A good character is a character that you relate so much with yourself and I'll tell you, I feel what Scott feels.

When I was kid I thought Wolverine was the best X-man, but as an adult I know it's Cyclops. The willingness to take on responsibility, his self-discipline, and resilience in the face of so many personal losses make him a far more mature character.

I'm an 80's baby and grew up with Tmnt, Transformers, Thundercats, Superman, Batman, and X-men!!!
Over the years, they got most of these comics correct, but yes, for me, Xmen was one of the worst adaptation of a comic.. I hope ppl realize and respect the Summers storyline and appreciate Scott/Cyclops a lot more.... Read the comics and the history of the X-men or any Marvel comics b4 u think wat u know!!!

Fuck Fox for betraying him that way!!
Thank u Xmen 97!!!!

Cyclops is one of the few fictional character's who's powers can properly be classified as a liability if not a curse. Also Wolverine hates the guy yet he respects him enough to follow orders from him, Wolverine more often than not states out loud that he disagrees with Cyclops yet he still follows his plans.

Cyclops is a character who catches so much undeserved grief that hating Cyclops is basically a meme. X-Force, the black ops mutant hit squad? Wolverine forms it again RIGHT AFTER Cyclops disbanded it, and later Cable recreated it, neither of them catching ANY flak for it.

After M-Day, anti-mutant terrorists blew up a bus full of children who had lost their powers, and the Avengers didn’t raise a single finger. In fact, they came to the mutants trying to convince them to side with the government during the Avenger’s civil war. Cyclops is called a jerk for *not* siding with the government, when that same government had turned the Xavier school into a mutant camp surrounded by sentinels.

Cyclops’ great crimes post AvX were: saving newly powered mutants from being shot by police for the crime of breathing while a mutant, breaking mutants out of jail whose powers had just activated and were out of control with neither the X-Men or the Avengers raising a finger, and saving a mutant girl from being shot at by tanks and attacked by the Avengers when her time powers manifested for the first time. All this caused cyclops to be labelled a ‘mutant terrorist’ by the characters in the setting and by marvel’s writers.

Scott Summers is in the comics and incredible leader. He does his best to sort out and understand his own emotions. Keeping control of them, observing himself still being empathetic to others, not neglecting their thoughts or feelings either he definitely deserves more love and character development

Nice video, what I like about Cyclops is the fact that he grows into his own person his own man. Sure he was Xavier's star student, his first student, and some even called him the teacher's pet. But over the course of time manages to stand on his own, stand on his two feet. He has to be the one to take charge and make sure that the X-Men fall in line, the literal glue that holds the team together. As not only the leader of the X-Men, but the leader of his family which he has grown to love...

Respect to Cyclops, but is his skin impenetrable? Is he super strong enough to not get harmed by shrapnel, debris, or explosions? Do knives or bullets not pierce his skin? Because if he just produces blasts of energy from his eyes how has he survived this long and gone through so many battles and not been blown to bits yet?
