So pretty I love this movie of these 2
ОтветитьWhy did Lyra wear her nightgown in bed?
ОтветитьBeen watching the HBO series recently and I honestly miss Dakota and Nicole as Lyra and Mrs Coulter.
ОтветитьNow i realize the name of the Trilogy of this books his dark materials, the Golden Compass Is with the Polar Bears, The Subtle Knife Is with the Gyptians and the The Amber Spyglass Is with Serafina and her Witches clan?
ОтветитьHello school
Ответитьthe aesthetics in this movie are just so captivating: with enough familiarity to draw parallels to the real world but at the same time so different and fantastic. i love the blimps and the trains, the music and the costumes. peak fantasy imo
ОтветитьClears throat Ruth Wilson.
ОтветитьAnd how does she feel if she separates from her deamon
ОтветитьBut how does Lyra feel when her daemon being touched
ОтветитьI feel like this movie only really showed the seductive, elegantly evil side of Marisa. The way she is portrayed in The Golden Compass had me thinking Mrs Coulter just wanted the aletheometer and that was the only reason she was looking for Lyra. Whereas the HDM tv show showed us that Mrs Coulter couldn’t care less for the aletheometer and just wanted a second chance at being a mother and her love for Lyra was what made her evil. I don’t really know but that’s my view on it. But at the end of the day Marisa was a badass character and I love the fact it’s so obvious she used to be so much like Lyra.<3
ОтветитьTartaria
ОтветитьTartaria
Ответитьnicole being sexy and having that white outfit was best and better thing. was not into the story even if it had a cool polar bear character.
ОтветитьI mean, how can Nicole Kidman be that intimidating when she offers a sugar. What an actress. I haven't read The Golden Compass yet (already got the book), but it's still an interesting movie.
ОтветитьNicole Kidman does that "elegantly evil" thing so well in this movie!
ОтветитьHow would the vehicles in the scene work, like the airship and the car? I can assume they’re not driven by combustion.
ОтветитьMrs Coulter is described as enchanting and exceeding of wits and charms. Msrs Coulter is a boss. Read the books and you'll love Marissa Coulter all the more, one of the greatest villains of all time
ОтветитьI really love this movie.
To bad they didn't make the last two :(
Nicole Kidman was perfect as Mrs Coulter -- and also, isn't the same music also used in Harry Potter? I'm not sure which one.
ОтветитьThe casting in the movie was absolutely perfect, like, Nicole Kidman and Eva Green? Freaking Daniel Craig? And Dakota Blue Richard was a fantastic Lyra, much closer to her physical description from the book. However, the tv show is a thousand times more faithful adaptation not only in terms of the actual plot but also to the spirit of the series.
ОтветитьWho’s doing this for homework?
Edit: Me: realising this is so boring for homework 😐😐😑
Nicole Kidman is the true Marisa Coulter!!!! ♥
She´s so beautiful as Helen of Troy in this movie.
As a Hebrew speaker, I have never heard that Marissa means wished for a child, rebellion and bitter.. I think you should check your translator😁
ОтветитьThis movie is 15 years older than the HBO His Dark Materials, but it’s still visually more beautiful. Of course, New Line gave it the budget due to it being its next big franchise after LOTR, but story wise the film was a letdown. This is where HBO’s version will shine, and the HBO version has a decent budget as well.
ОтветитьThe needle moving from the lady and later the baby — was that foreshadowing that Lyra was Mrs. Coulter’s daughter?
ОтветитьI cannot see anyone else than Ruth Wilson as Mrs. Coulter now. She played it so perfectly.
ОтветитьNicole Kidman was gorgeous in this movie she gave me major Charlise Theron vibes.
ОтветитьThis movie shows that classical architecture skyline is better than modern architecture skyline.
ОтветитьThis movie shows that classical architecture skyline is better than modern architecture skyline.
ОтветитьI'm watching the HBO show and I miss Nicole so much <3
ОтветитьThis is everything I want in Steampunk, and modern esk scifi.
ОтветитьI am watching his dark materials right now, I'm loving the series cause it reminds so much as the first time that I read the books.
But, this movie I didn't hate that much and I thought it wasn't that bad.
The visual designs here are 100% spot on! Unlike the new bbc version. So disappointed. The golden compass here looks so great. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤡🤡🤡🤡🌍🌍🌍🌍
Ответитьin the HBO show, it's way less obvious that Mrs Coulter is an antagonist and I like that.
ОтветитьTerrible film. So sad. This could have been so amazing
ОтветитьNicole Kidman has such an unfriendly Stepfordish stiffness. She couldn't show love and kindness to a child even if she tried. And she's acting.
Ответитьthis story is the most important piece of media I've ever read, it changed how I viewed things at 11 and molded me into who I am, breaking my Innocence in the best of ways. mrs. Coulter is perhaps the most important character in the series, and kidman was so absolutely perfect and made for the role. I am excited for the HBO series, but I am worried that without Kidman it wont do it justice. who else can exude such elegance, such mystery, such sexiness, complexity, intelligence, seductive power, and grace?
ОтветитьSooo... Daemons are STANDO?
ОтветитьI'm reading the book. It been like 11 years since the movies can out and I need to know what happens.
ОтветитьI want a daemon 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
ОтветитьYou honestly can’t tell WHAT age Nicole Kidman was in this movie
I'd like to have a daemon
ОтветитьMrs. Coulter has a black hair in the book. I haven't watched the movie yet
ОтветитьSometimes I pretend I'm lyra and actually Co operated with her mother
ОтветитьMrs Coulter herself was perfectly cast, but was I the only one disappointed by the golden monkey? It had such an aura of menace in the books, and it just wasn't intimidating in the film.
ОтветитьWhy are they in Hogwarts?
ОтветитьI love this movie,it has a beautiful English, steampunk, medieval vibe tgat I always loved.kind of like Stardust
