Bold of you to assume I even watch them in the first place
Me no think me just press buttons
FIRST
ОтветитьThanks for making this video sajam I was struggling on what to look for when it came to watching my replays.
ОтветитьAn immense amount of trial and error helped me. I see other people just........ don't block.... and i don't understand that mindset.
ОтветитьI was just thinking about this the other day when looking at my replays so thanks for the Help Sajam!
ОтветитьI’ve needed this video for a long time and didn’t even know it.
ОтветитьYou should take note of when your emotional response to certain things in a match. Did you get scared of a move? Did you get too excited after landing a hit? Don't always get stuck looking at when you get hit with a wake up DP or long combo try to remember your emotion during the match.
ОтветитьI can't watch my own replays because I know my combos are nonexistent and it's my own fault for choosing not to learn them
hash tag scrub life
I've recently started to record myself when I play vs people who obv reached celestial to see what im doing wrong. Sometimes its just really hard to understand why you're losing even after rewatching that match. This video should help tons, thanks dude!
ОтветитьDon't listen to Sajam. Your ONLY concern should be how much of "that dog" is in you, and how to get more.
Ответитьyou should always say things like "fuck" "I'm a idiot" "I misinputed DP" "I need to stop Insta air dashing" "I should wake up super more" while watching replays
ОтветитьTo this day I still struggle to 6P jump ins because when I was first learning the game (playing as Anji), I learned to use Kou for anti airs instead. Unlearning that habit was incredibly hard.
ОтветитьDude when I watch my replays I’m like’ what the fuck is this crackhead doing’ does dp whiff into dp again on that Leo life
ОтветитьLove the blade runner reference
ОтветитьWhy would I focus on myself when I can blame the beasts?
ОтветитьOhh, this is so silly. I don’t need to go back and watch my old replays! I can re-create them on-the-fly by just playing more matches and watching myself make the same mistakes over and over again.
ОтветитьThumbnail game best in class
ОтветитьI gotta train myself to block cross-ups. Especially in the corner. My issue is failing to read when my opponent wants to go for them.
ОтветитьThe drive without thinking thing is scary accurate. I'll get home somedays and not remember driving at all
ОтветитьI turned off recording replays in Strive - because that popup, 'replay is overwritten' after every match, annoyed me.
They should just not included that message in the first place. It's common understanding that not all replays will remain. We aren't as advanced as 2d Worms games, whose replays store every detail of the match and take up just a few kb of disk space.
As usual, Coreagaming has a video about this.
ОтветитьI watch my replays when I'm too down on myself to remind me that I can make good decisions every now and again.
ОтветитьAlso hard: trying to watch a friend's replay to help them improve. Like man, I dunno, I'll give it a shot, but it'd probably go better if you just play me. I'll be able to tell you more about what I'm exploiting in your offense/defense after I've done it than trying to parse what someone else did to you yesterday on tape.
ОтветитьReplays? Flailing uselessly against the netplay mob for years on end is the superior strategy.
ОтветитьAs you watch you should be asking yourself
* Why did I do that?
* Why did I get hit?
* How could I have killed him?
all the time. When you find that you don't really have a good reason for doing what you did, or you got hit for dumb reasons, or you missed an opportunity to win, you've found the next thing to work on.
I just wanna be able to rewind replays. I know the reason that always gets brought up as to why it's not a thing, but it absolutely should be.
ОтветитьOver commit and go fuck it is very common. Even stronger players like to do those things. Patience+knowledge can kill a lot of intermediate players even your combos are subpar.
ОтветитьHey alright
ОтветитьPeople without an internal monologue in shambles. Blew my mind when I learned that some people don't or can't talk in their head.
ОтветитьFind moments when you blocked the mixup, open up your notes, scribble "fucking nice".
ОтветитьIf you are struggling with this, it gets better. Trust me. You will eventually start taking notes in your head even during the match once your head is not focused on winning
ОтветитьDope video
I dont hear auto-pilot talked about enough
Peter Y Mao also has a great video on how to deal with auto-pilot in fgs
Facts
ОтветитьThe knowledge has to go from conscious to unscious and become a part of your muscle memory. It takes time but understanding that its literally reps at a certain point makes it a little easier to swallow for some
ОтветитьSajam the man with all the legit tips.
ОтветитьThe +r replay feature is super good for problems solving like this. I play sol in +r and I had lots of trouble dealing with FD's with IAD happy opponents. Using the replay feature I can take control of my own character and I found my personal consistent answer was to dash block (stand under the clock was a tip I ripped from an old +r tutorial sajam made) and react with 5K or air throw (a WIP answer for me)
Super useful tool that progresses your progress a lot and I hope fighting games in the future steal it.
In my experience learning is usually much easier for people when they ask themselves more focused questions. Someone could ask a broad question like "How do I beat my opponents defense?" which is hard to answer as there are a ton of defensive techniques that require different counterplay. Instead it is more efficient to focus on a specific aspect of defense they are struggling with and for them to pose a question around it like "How do I stop my opponent from jumping out of my pressure?"
Ответитьit would help if games had a rewind feature in their training modes and not force me to rewatch the entire round for the two seconds i'm trying to study.
Ответитьi really hope capcom doesn't make honda a motion character or change hands to a motion
Ответитьit's funny how now in sfv, I can't stop myself from anti airing even against characters that bait it over and over with divekicks and such. falke, too good at anti air.
ОтветитьWhen I each, i count the number of times I do something vs the number of times I get punished for it. I jumped 4x and got punished 2x = jump less
ОтветитьIs there a way to watch replays without wanting to hurt yourself because reliving every single mistake i make is actual mental torture
Ответить
