i thought this would be a flat earth video this guy made up some stuff and the catholic church also was into the bigbang guy
ОтветитьWas that the word-girl narrator?!
ОтветитьGoddamnit is he trying to jump scare us at the end? that song was loud
ОтветитьI'm pretty sure it was galileo how proved the earth revolved around the sun.
ОтветитьGENESIS 1:5 "Who Created (Invented) the moon/sun?"
ОтветитьBro this is some dope sh#$
ОтветитьIs this video a joke or something??
ОтветитьIs it just me or is this video shorter than I remember? Because I remember it bein 3 minutes long or something.
ОтветитьYo I love that they used the voice of Jerry from Rick and Morty cause honestly it fits 😂💀
ОтветитьWell, they did burn Giordano Bruno at some point. Maybe it was a publicity stunt!
ОтветитьWhat about Galileo Galilei
ОтветитьHe was dead when 90 percent of the things in this video happened. He was afraid to publish it until he was on his deathbed. And then after it began to gain popularity, the inquisition banned his book and persecuted everyone who published or publicly supported his theory. So good job refuting things nobody claimed in the most misleading way possible in order to give the overall impression that what happened didn’t “ACTUALLY....”
Ответитьlet me guess, the church funded this video...
ОтветитьDude inaccurate
ОтветитьIs that the voice of Jerry?
ОтветитьMy school is called copernicus lol
ОтветитьThis isn't surprising. Our modern method of science, as well as European universities, have their origins from the Catholic church. It's even been argued that without the church, western civilization would've disappeared.
ОтветитьIs the voice he's talking to Jerry from Rick and Morty?
ОтветитьIs that the voiceactor for Jerry?
ОтветитьDidn’t he publish the book on his death bed?
ОтветитьMmmmm wine 🍷
Ответитьis that jerry from rick and morty?
ОтветитьJerry Smith is the other voice on this video, how fun
ОтветитьWhy is Adam explaining this to jerry. He will never understand a thing.
ОтветитьOmg, Its Adam And Jerry From Rick adn Morty
Ответитьcopernicus wasn't killed by the churt, BUT and is quite odd that is not mentioned here, he published that book just before he died, yes it was dedicated to the pope in a effort to not have it banned, or at least chatch the eye of the pope himself (he died of natural causes, if i recall correctly) but he was afraid of the consequences of it, the sad true story is that that book was so hard to understand that very few people give it any consideration and those who do understand it mainly use it for oroscope. for real. it was not untill Galieo comes around that that book became part of a major drama with the pope. and it was mainly because he was quite rude XD (also wrong) in discussing with the pope.
ОтветитьJerry?
ОтветитьHey look is jerry trying to wrong a version of rick
ОтветитьAs a Pole I agree.
ОтветитьAwww what a sweet heart * throws book *
ОтветитьJerry from rick and morty
ОтветитьCeril????
ОтветитьHe sounds like Jerry from Rick and Morty
ОтветитьDoes anyone remember Word Girl. If so you will remember the narrator in the video.
ОтветитьNuance, but video is true still : Copernicus said he kept his theory (Earth revolves and around sun) secret for about 36 years... It was not just fear of the Church, but of what folks would say. He took his time... His patience and diplomacy paid off it would seem.
Ответитьfair i think?
ОтветитьIn fact that's the story of the Renaissance how these papers came out prove something right or wrong
ОтветитьThe person Adam is talking to sounds like Jerry from rick and morty does anyone else hear it
Apparently I can't tell the difference between here asnd hear
this ends to early, in college humor there is an extra skit at the beginning and a =n entire extra section of the lesson at the end
ОтветитьWhat's funny is they honestly didn't care it wasn't until more people did that Copernicus did, or questioned the church.
Then suddenly, it was a problem...
Truth was, the church didn't care that the earth revolved around the sun, they also didn't care that the whole force field idea around the earth was false too.
What they did care about was the fact if you say 'I was wrong about this'. Then people might ask questions about other stuff and the church would lose it's power.
Isn't that Jerry from rick and morty ?
ОтветитьUhmm is that jerry in Rick and Morty?
ОтветитьThis is not accurate at all. Most of Copernicus' books prior to "De revolutionibus..." had nothing to do with astronomy, and he in fact refused to publish "De revolutionibus..." mostly due to fear of criticism and possible retributions from the church. This fear is referenced in the dedication to the pope that you bring up. In fact he died soon soon after the publication. You can actually look no further than wikipedia to find out!
ОтветитьIts morty's Father!!!
ОтветитьYou know. Hypatia probably found that out way before Copernicus ever did, but we'll never know because it was mostly the Christians that destroyed Alexandria and all the knowledge in the known world at that time. Oh, and they flayed her alive too.
