Easy answer for people: if you're playing casual games, and have the performance overhead, V-Sync ON is almost always the best experience. There are always exceptions, but that's generally true.
BUT
If you're playing a competitive game, leave V-Sync off, as it can cause input lag/delay, which can make your gameplay worse in competition.
There's one exception though, if your system is running your game at WELL OVER your monitor's refresh rate, set your V-Sync to Ultra in the Nvidia control panel and use G-SYNC/Freesync. Your GPU will generate frames at the full, uncapped speed, but throw out any excess frames over your refresh rate. This gives you REALLY consistent frame times, eliminates tearing, and in all my testing it doesn't introduce ANY input lag/delay. It's the perfect Goldilocks setting with the best of both worlds, if your system can do it, this is the BEST setup.
Like how to enable g sync with hdmi
ОтветитьBoth had vsync
ОтветитьIf you are using a 60Hz monitor with v-sync on. You will lock 60 FPS. Because it will sync the FPS from your gpu to your Hz from the monitor. So the drop is expected to stop viewing screen tearing images IF the gpu is producing more than 60 FPS, like this example. So people, match the FPS to your tv/monitor Hz. (60Hz/60FPS; 120Hz/120FPS; 144Hz/144FPS, and so on) don't do 60Hz with 120FPS, that WILL cause screen tearing IF vsync is not on.
ОтветитьStupid video
ОтветитьLong story short here: V-SYNC locks your FPS to the refresh rate of your monitor, or to 60hz for some games (not all games will V-Sync at the true refresh rate of your monitor, and will just use 60fps.)
Note: if you want a good experience with V-Sync, MAKE SURE you turn on triple-buffering. If its only double-buffered, anytime you dip below 60fps (or whatever is your monitor's refresh rate) your framerate will drop to HALF of your refresh rate. So if your fps dips to 59, the game will tank to 30FPS (or half your refresh rate) which is REALLY jarring.
So apparently this is 60 hz screen so it's normal for it to limit these fps at 60. No issue here. I used to play sync off - feels bit better. But having 240 hz and 4070 made me change my mind - g sync makes everything little smoother without dropping fps
ОтветитьI'm very annoyed my gpu is intel hd and if vsync turned on it make every game lagger
Ответитьwhat
ОтветитьFor everyone, if your game renders more fps than your monitor can display, the image on your monitor looks like it's split in half. At the cost of fps and a low input delay you can get rid of the split. I'd recommend it for casual players (I play Valorant with V-sync, never had any issues) or games that don't require quick reactions.
ОтветитьWhst resolution u play
ОтветитьThis is kind of a pointless test this this video is rendered and we’re all gonna be watching it on different screens and monitors lol
Ответитьawsome
Ответитьyour monitor is 60hz
ОтветитьTHERE'S NO DIFFERENCE AAAAAAA
